Bungie has designed the Evacuation quest as a sort of send-off for the destinations and content that will be entering the Destiny Content Vault in November. It sends players through some of the memorable Strikes from the various destinations, some of the cool Heroic Adventures, and on Mars, it tasks Guardians with jumping into some Escalation Protocol. At the end of it all, Destiny 2 players will be rewarded with the Traveler’s Chosen, which may be the last exotic on offer for Year 3 before Beyond Light revamps everything....

One weapon in particular, The Loud Lullaby, is crafted from the Essence of Brutality which requires players to complete activities on the Moon, get 50 Hand Cannon kills, and collect an item called the Necromatic Strand. Here’s where Destiny 2: Shadowkeep players can find the item. Start heading towards the Archer’s Line by following the left road and continue on until a domed building is found towards the right side of the map....

In addition to Solstice, Bungie also confirmed its planning a showcase event later in August for Destiny 2. Surprisingly, the studio intends to provide fans with their first ever look at the next expansion called Lightfall. Some players have also pointed out that the showcase day is also set to be the Season 18 launch date, so many are expecting a Season 18 reveal on that day which includes big features like the Arc 3....

However, many Destiny 2 players quickly noticed that these old armor sets couldn’t use any of the new seasonal mods, making them fairly useless compared to the newer, exotic armor sets Xur has for sale. Bungie has decided to fix that, and an update coming in April will add seasonal mod slots to over a dozen old armor sets. Bungie’s Rob Engeln, in a video with IGN, says Destiny 2’s Adventures are similar in scope to some of the quest missions that players of Destiny 1 may be familiar with. Although Engeln didn’t specify, it’s likely that he is referring to one-off missions that see players completing a task for a unique reward. Some examples include the missions to acquire the Year 3 Gjallarhorn or the moon mission that saw players fending off hordes with a sword....

But many of those elite players are feeling a bit betrayed after Destiny 2’s developer Bungie revealed that the game’s fourth season will bring what sounds to be a nearly identical version of the weapon called Redrix’s Broadsword. When Bungie first talked about Redrix’s Claymore, it was said that this weapon would only be available in Season 3 and could only be earned by the method detailed above. Once Season 3 ended, Bungie said, Redrix’s Claymore would be gone forever....

It seems impossible for anyone who has played the Destiny 2 encounter. The mechanics are hard enough for six Guardians, let alone half that, but a fireteam consisting of Twitch streamers Sean “Gladd” Gallagher, “AyyItsChevy,” and “Aoterra” somehow got through this tricky encounter. Not without a lot of trial and error, of course. The group failed many times before finally finishing off Taniks, The Abomination, and the video capturing the feat is as nerve-wracking as it is impressive....

Bungie’s community manager, dmg04, took to Twitter to address complaints that certain modifiers, combined with the higher light level requirements, made Heroic Strikes too challenging; namely, the Blackout, Glass, and Grounded modifiers. Blackout disables the radar and greatly increases enemy melee damage, often resulting in a one-shot kill on Guardians. Glass halves health and shields, but makes recovery twice as fast. Grounded makes Guardians take more damage while airborne....

The Divinity Exotic Trace Rifle, only obtainable from a quest that pushes players through a tough puzzle challenge in the Garden of Salvation raid, features a perk called Judgment that envelops the target in a disruption and weakening field from sustained damage. It’s a powerful debuff that can help make fights even easier especially when combined with other Weakening effects players now have access to. In fact, this update increases its potency from the current 25% to 30%....

The Witch Queen is the latest expansion to drop for Destiny 2, and though some players were farming up weapons prior to the launch of the expansion, now that it is released they have been finding some useful farming paths that can give out legendary loot. One Destiny YouTuber and streamer known as Gladd recently made a video showing players how they could get their hands on the Funnelweb SMG in the Witch Queen using a unique tactic....

Stasis is an incredible tool for all Destiny 2 players to use in both PvE and PvP, and it is the first subclass in the game to come with Aspects and Fragments to customize what it does. This also meant that players would inevitably find the most powerful combinations and exploit them wherever possible, which eventually made Stasis a tad too strong in PvP. This is still the case despite a lot of nerfs, which also ended up hurting the subclass’ viability in PvE, but in PvP, the situation has become insufferable to some players....

Still, it’s been a big week for Destiny 2 news as Bungie has started to pull the curtain back on a few things that players can expect. While the developer detailed upcoming weapon and sandbox changes, this week finally confirmed the various Arc 3.0 subclass updates and how each will be impacted. Titans get new mobility movements, Hunters get a second super called Gathering Storm, and Warlocks will be a supercharged lightning shaman....

With the Milestone being on Titan for this week, players should head over that way to find the hooded merchant in his usual spot on The Rig. Upon fast travelling to The Rig, head to the left side of the zone, running under the steps and continuing to walk along the left edge of the platform. Xur is tucked away inside of a building, off the main path towards the Solarium....

The Destiny 2 30th Anniversary is one such event that’s being celebrated in the Eververse, giving players the opportunity to buy special cosmetic items that will only be available for a limited time. These premium items include the Birthday Blade Finisher, which makes it look like a Guardian is taking down an enemy with an Energy Sword from Halo, as well as the special Dead Man’s Revenge ornament for the Dead Man’s Tale Scout Rifle....

While Bungie didn’t outright reveal the release date for Black Armory, it did offer some clues as to the first Destiny 2 Year 2 DLC’s release date. According to Bungie, Season 4 of Destiny 2 will conclude on November 27th, which would presumably lead players into Black Armory. The obvious release date for Black Armory would be on November 27th after the weekly reset at 9am PT. With Season 4: Season of the Outlaw over, Season 5: Season of the Forge should begin....

According to the latest financial report from Activision, the company’s royalty/amortization costs were lower in the nine months ending on September 30, 2017 than the same period in 2016. There were several factors that played a part in Activision’s savings but primarily they were the result of “lower developer royalties and software amortization associated with the Destiny franchise due to the timing of releases.” While this may seem like the decision to delay Destiny 2 cost Bungie money, the fact is Activision isn’t going to pay royalties on a product that is not yet released....

As explained by Bungie in a new blog post today, Destiny 2’s Faction Rallies are a special event that are to begin with the Weekly Reset on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 2:00 AM PT / 5:00 AM ET, and they are set to run until the same times on October 3, 2017. The original three factions from Destiny 1 are going to return for the event, with Dead Orbit being represented by Arach Jalaal, Future War Cult being fronted by Lakshmi-2, and New Monarchy being headed by Executor Hideo....

According to a report from Kotaku, the first DLC expansion for Destiny 2 will be called The Curse of Osiris. As the name implies, the new content will center on the character of Osiris, a mysterious warrior and namesake of the Trials of Osiris PvP mode. Mercury and The Lighthouse As far as content is concerned, The Curse of Osiris is reported to include a new patrol area on the planet Mercury....
