Rumors about a possible Halo crossover event for Destiny 2’s 30th Anniversary Pack have been circulating for a long time, and they became even more real when Bungie revealed the armor sets coming as universal ornaments for all three classes. With a Needler shoulder pad on the Titan and an Arbiter-inspired look for the Warlock, who also gets a cool Halo ring bond, there was hope that Bungie would actually pull this off on a larger scale.

The 30th Anniversary Pack is coming to Destiny 2 in a few hours, and Bungie dropped the first official trailer for it just now, which is a perfect showcase of the Gjallarhorn in action and lots of great features and locations, such as the Dares of Eternity activity and the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon. The biggest takeaway of the trailer for Halo fans, however, was that Bungie is indeed adding beloved weapons from its old franchise in the form of the Magnum Sidearm from Halo: Combat Evolved and the iconic Energy Sword.
These weapons are not exactly like they were in Halo games, and Destiny 2’s Magnum has a slightly different aesthetic, and it comes with an Exotic perk that lets players use frag grenades for the first time ever. The Energy Sword is not wielded as the classic weapon from Halo, but it’s rather a reimagined design that features half an Energy Sword on top of a sword handle, more akin to Destiny 2’s models.
There are a lot of cool weapons that could come with the 30th Anniversary Pack, and fans are eager to discover whether or not they will get to use Halo 2’s Battle Rifle and maybe a Covenant gun as well. These were both seemingly teased through a Steam promotional image for Destiny 2’s upcoming activity, Dares of Eternity. Ultimately, players will get to explore the DLC’s contents very shortly and find out themselves.
Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
