As seen in the image below from the Redditor and Destiny 2 fan known as “AntumTheNine”, it looks as if the game’s Black Armory DLC is scheduled to drop in the next couple of weeks, with Bungie apparently having a December 4, 2018 date set. According to Antum, the official announcement should come during the developer’s “This Week at Bungie” update today, and declares that a reveal stream for the content will occur next week.
For those unaware, speculation about the launch time for Destiny 2’s Black Armory DLC has been rampant ever since Bungie previously revealed that the content would be coming to the game at some point in December. As a matter of fact, many Guardians already surmised its release date to be December 4, which will be shortly after Season 4: Season of the Outlaw has concluded, and a little ways into the beginning of Season 5: Season of the Forge.
Taking everything into consideration, while it appears as if the fan conjecture surrounding the Black Armory DLC’s launch date is accurate, it’s still best to reserve judgment until the official confirmation comes from Bungie before acknowledging it as the finalized date. After all, there’s always the chance that the piece of promotional artwork above could have been doctored in some way, or might represent a date that Bungie previously had in mind, but might need to change at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. At any rate, we will have to wait and see what Bungie has to say on the matter.
Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
