While Bungie didn’t outright reveal the release date for Black Armory, it did offer some clues as to the first Destiny 2 Year 2 DLC’s release date. According to Bungie, Season 4 of Destiny 2 will conclude on November 27th, which would presumably lead players into Black Armory.

The obvious release date for Black Armory would be on November 27th after the weekly reset at 9am PT. With Season 4: Season of the Outlaw over, Season 5: Season of the Forge should begin. However, Bungie’s DLC roadmap has Black Armory listed for December, meaning that Season 5’s start and Black Armory’s release might not be on the same day.

The more likely possibility is that Bungie will be waiting a week to launch Black Armory, giving players a little breathing room in between the conclusion of Forsaken’s season and the launch of the next DLC’s. That would put Destiny 2: Black Armory’s release date at December 4th, which many assumed was the DLC’s release date already.

With Season 4 coming to an end, Bungie should have more to say about Black Armory soon. No doubt the developer will confirm the release date for the Destiny 2 DLC upfront, and it should be the December 4th date. Even so, Destiny 2 players should have some new content to look forward regardless with the Season 5 kick off.

In the meantime, Black Armory’s looming release also means players have only a few weeks to complete everything they want in Season 4 before some quests reset or are lost forever. Read our guide for everything to complete before Season 4 ends.
