To be more specific, the latest Invitation of the Nine Quest requires players to kill Hive, Scorn, and Vex in the Tangled Shore, but there is no Vex in that location. This makes the Destiny 2 quest impossible to complete, as the only progress that can be made is killing the Hive and the Scorn, but this will be fixed come May 7.

Destiny 2 players can now plan around this update, however, to complete the quest and continue the developing story about the Drifter and the Nine. And although the time between the quest and the fix is closer to two weeks, the delay of the eighth invitation will only be one week. Completing the other kills prior to the fix and then the last objective afterward will mean that players will be eligible for the next invitation when Xur arrives on May 9.

This Destiny 2 update also fixes three other issues, namely the Verdant Light: Competitive Triumph’s orb requirement, a solution for duplicate Revelry Jubilant Engram items, and a solution for players who received incorrect Arc week emotes. The Triumph is having its requirement of 200 Orbs of Light reduced to 20, while players who received duplicates from the Revelry Jubilant Engram will receive a message on how to fix it, and the same goes for those who received an incorrect Arc Week emote.

Beyond those who need to know where to pick up the re-offered “The Tower” quest, we also have the scoop on all of Xur’s exotic armor and weapons as of May 3. Destiny 2 players will want to check it out and be ready for the fix once it goes live.

Destiny 2 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
