Concerning Malfeasance, players are actively looking for it, because it is a strange situation overall. The hand cannon was practically advertised in the trailer, and the Eververse Store already has ornaments for it, which means it’s not really necessary to hide. However, Callum’s Grave has recently been discovered, so the weapon has to be related to it, according to the lore.

A recent data mine also suggested the Malfeasance quest has a boss related to the Gambit mode, meaning that there’s plenty to be done for the weapon. It’s worth mentioning that this weapon could be currently locked by Bungie, but the reason behind such a choice remains to be seen.

Wish Ender, an exotic bow, is the second weapon missing, with leading theories suggesting a connection to either Petra Venj or the Wishing Wall. Since Clan Redeem came out on top as World First in completing the Last Wish raid, Petra has been appearing in different locations with a new quest. Since the first two have revealed high-level gear, some think the reward for the third and last quest is Wish Ender–or at the least the quest for it (in a manner similar to Warmind’s Ana Bray).

The second theory suggests that it is related to the Last Wish Raid, as players have recently discovered a “wishing wall” that can perform a number of tasks: teleporting players around the raid, activating Grunt birthday party cheats, and more. It seems plausible a thus-far undiscovered code could unlock the Wish Ender quest, but of course, that’s only speculation.

It’s also possible that both of these weapons are just locked down by Bungie until a special event of some sort unlocks them. For now, though, Destiny 2’s players can only search and wait. Tell us, Ranters, where do you think Malfeasance and Last Wish are hiding?

Destiny 2: Forsaken is available now.
