Other factors to consider when making builds and choosing loadouts include Exotic items, which are limited to one Exotic weapon and one Exotic piece of armor, and mods, which are acquired in various means and can be applied onto every armor piece depending on their elemental affinity. As such, it’s not uncommon to see players come up with great Destiny 2 builds that can one-shot bosses, even, like the popular middle tree Sunbreaker Titan build with Synthoceps, Tractor Cannon, and a One-Two Punch shotgun.

Another great Titan build that is raising in popularity is one that uses the Titan’s Peregrine Greaves combined with top tree Striker to deal massive damage to all enemies in Destiny 2’s PvE content. A Reddit user by the name of ShoulderDazzling8046 shared a video on the platform showing their Seismic Strike dealing over 568k damage to a single enemy in Dares of Eternity, which is an incredible amount of damage. This was achieved by combining a few factors, such as Cryosthesia 77K and Focusing Lens, Arc Elemental Well mods and Heavy-Handed, and more.
This combination is lethal in all content, and it can one-shot all of Destiny 2’s Champions with a shoulder charge, for which players spend their Charged With Light stacks to get melee energy back through Heavy-Handed. Well of Ions is an Elemental Well mod that makes Arc melee abilities deal extra damage, and it combines perfectly with Peregrine Greaves’ bonus damage to Light shoulder charge abilities while used mid-air. This makes for a very valid alternative to Sunbreaker Titans’ powerful hammers, even though its DPS is much lower against bosses.
The plethora of balance tweaks made to Destiny 2 go a long way in terms of character customization, and the shoulder charge build proves it. Other recent changes made to the game with the launch of the 30th Anniversary Pack also made something else possible, and that is sword skating. This is something that was eventually removed by Bungie in the past, but now it has come back with a perk called Eager Edge.
Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
