As seen in the tweet directly below, the Destiny 2 player and Twitter user known as “itsBlinx” shared a picture of him proudly showing off his acquisition of the Redrix’s Claymore pulse rifle after having earned it through some serious grind time. Game Rant’s Editor in Chief, Anthony Taormina, reached out to him to ask exactly how long it took to get, which was “around 12 hours” and “86 games” in which the Guardian saw no losses.
It’s understandable as to why itsBlinx wanted to get Redrix’s Claymore as quickly as possible, as the Destiny 2 gun is a fast-firing pulse rifle that comes with a new perk that has never been seen before on a weapon in the game. To be specific, the perk in question is called Desperado, and works in conjunction with Outlaw – another perk where headshot kills increase reload speed – to significantly buff the rifle’s rate of fire after reloading.
Upon revealing Redrix’s Claymore to the public, Bungie suggested that it would be a weapon that denotes a Destiny 2 player who is skilled in the Crucible, and with an 86-0 record, itsBlinx has definitely proven his mettle in that regard. Without a doubt, the Guardian should feel accomplished after his efforts, as there are surely many casual fans who are currently struggling in the throes of the Quickplay Playlist’s Valor ranking system.
Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
