The same holds true for some specific gameplay interactions that occur while playing Destiny 2, which the game often doesn’t describe at all, leaving everything a bit blurry. Obscure mechanics can be found anywhere in the game, with one of the most relevant to know about being that Champions take increased damage from guns and sword with the Vorpal Weapon perk even if they are not considered bosses. In fact, players should be using the Major Spec mod to deal more damage to Champions, as odd as it may sound.

As such, it’s always interesting when Destiny 2 fans gather to share a series of hard-to-believe facts about the game, be it in terms of lore or actual gameplay. That’s precisely what a recent Reddit post by a user called Gripping_Touch aims to do, starting with a controversial statement that - canonically speaking - it’s only rained once in Destiny 2, or twice if players count the never-ending rain on Titan. Another player chimed in stating that Ikora is the member of the Vanguard with the most hair, considering Zavala is bald and the late Cayde-6 was an Exo.

A fan pointed out that one of Destiny 2’s most useless Exotics, Skyburner’s Oath, can actually be useful for breaking the shield of people using Heir Apparent, but it can also serve the purpose of destroying the generators from outside the shields in the Proving Grounds Strike. Another interesting fact is that Lady Efrideet once launched Lord Saladin against a Fallen Walker to defend a village, with the Iron Lord using his Fists of Havoc to destroy the machinery. This caused Saladin’s death, but since he deemed the action effective, he created the Thundercrash Super.

The game’s community is often seen partaking in posts like this, with another example coming from Destiny 2 players sharing their eating habits through gun names. Still, reading more about the game can often be a humbling and productive learning experience, and it’s also entertaining.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
