Both the Monsters and Mechs sets of armor are teased with a piece of concept art, as only after one wins will Bungie dedicate the resources into actually making the set. The Mechs set shows that Bungie was heavily inspired by Gundam with its designs, though no single set is specifically comparable to a Gundam – likely for legal reasons. Bungie does specifically say that they’re mobile suits, though.

As for the Monsters, Bungie players who participated in the poll in 2021 will already be somewhat familiar. The designs from 2021 have been updated, but still have the same themes. There’s a Titan cyclops, a Warlock naga, and a Hunter dragon skin. The Destiny 2 Hunter skin has changed the most and now has a cloak that looks like a dragon’s tail. Needless to say, the poll for 2022’s Festival of the Lost should be much closer than last year’s.
Those interested in participating in the poll will need to make sure that they’re signed up via Bungie’s official website and approve emails. After that, they’ll have to connect their Bungie profile to their platform of choice, whether it be the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Steam, or otherwise. Players should then receive an email for the poll on April 7 or after.
Polls for the Festival of the Lost contest will officially end on April 13, so Destiny 2 players will have a limited amount of time to submit their choice. Bungie apparently wants to have the poll wrapped up quickly so it can get to work. Those who do participate will receive a special reward, a Broken Barriers emblem that will be sent out on April 19.
While the poll will end quickly, the results won’t arrive for some time. Bungie will likely wait until the Halloween armor set is finished and it’s ready to reveal the full Festival of the Lost event later this year. It’s a little Halloween cheer in early spring for Destiny 2 players.
Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
