Controversy never seems to be too far either, as Destiny 2 faces some backlash from the community over a pair of exotics. Last week, it was through the confirmation that Titan’s wouldn’t be getting Twilight Garrison back, at least not in the form it took in the original Destiny. Some in the community took it too far and harassed a Bungie developer over the information. Next, a change was made to the Caliban’s Hand Hunter exotic over the description being wrong, and many took that to be a nerf instead of changing the exotics behavior to match the text.

Speaking of exotics, the weekend merchant Xur is back again in Destiny 2. Follow this guide for his most current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he’s brought for the weekend of June 10, 2022.
Where is Xur?
This weekend, Xur is in the Tower hangar.
From the default landing zone, immediately head to the left and following the path down into the Hangar. After entering the hangar, head left again past Arach Jalaal and his Dead Orbit crew and up a metal staircase. Xur is standing on a metal platform at the back of this room overlooking the mountain ranges below.
Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur’s role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clanmates or finishing more challenging activities.
Xur continues to sell even more gear outside his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer.
Exotic Armor
Eye of Another World - Warlock helmet
The Cerebral Uplink perk which highlights priority targets while also improving the regeneration speed of the grenade, melee, and Rift abilities.
Overall, it’s a decent option for PvE or PvP. When using mods that target regeneration rates, this exotic can help players get their abilities much faster than normal. It’s not a must have item, but it can be a decent choice. It’s worth noting that this item doesn’t actually provide wall hacks like the Nightstalker Hunter gets, only visible enemy targets are highlighted in red. The stat roll for this week is just barely the lowest, but it does feature an incredibly high resilience stat for those who want to raise that.
Void Enhanced. Stat Values:
Mobility +3 Resilience +16 Recovery +11 Discipline +7 Intellect +14 Strength +9
FR0ST-EE5 - Hunter leg armor
Not seen in quite a long while, these Hunter boots are affectionately known as Frosties. They come with the Rapid Cooldown perk which increases the regeneration rate when the player sprints and sprint speed after dodging. For missions that require lots of movement, these boots pair well with particular subclasses that rely on melee abilities such as the Gunslingers Way of a Thousand Cuts.
Being able to recharge the throwing knives by killing burning enemies as well as sprinting makes it so the Hunter has a nearly unlimited supply as long as they hit and kill the target. For those looking for a solid mobility build, this exotic may be worth a look with a higher than normal mobility value this week. Better yet, the stat roll on these boots is extremely good, with an absolutely rediculous mobility stat.
Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:
Mobility +28 Resilience +2 Recovery +2 Discipline +7 Intellect +13 Strength +12
Peregrine Greaves - Titan leg armor
The overly rare Peregrine Greaves are back in stock with Xur this weekend. Peregrine Strike enhances all shoulder charge melee abilities to deal bonus damage when it is activated in the air.
While these boots were, at one time, a trouble spot for Bungie, getting removed for 24 hours to not impact the Garden of Salvation World First Raid, many continue to view them largely as situation. The main issue is that the wearer does need to be airborne to get the bonus and shoulder charges typically one shots enemies anyway without the extra need to be airborne. Ultimately, there are better exotics for Titans, even if the stat roll is pretty good.
Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:
Mobility +9 Resilience +9 Recovery +16 Discipline +8 Intellect +12 Strength +11
Exotic Weapon
Originally introduced inside of the Forsaken expansion, Bungie went ahead and made this item a pre-order bonus for those who pre-ordered Shadowkeep before it launched. The Two-Tailed fox is a rocket launcher that fires two elemental rockets, one void and one solar. Better yet, these rockets can track the same target. The void rocket also suppresses the target while the solar one does damage over time.
While this is a fun weapon to use, it’s not going to challenge the current go to heavy exotics especially the Gjallarhorn. It certainly has its uses in certain game modes, but isn’t a required purchase this week.
Additional perks:
Confined Launch High Velocity Rounds Composite Stock
Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale Rolls
Since Season 16 removed the Presage and Harbinger exotic missions, Xur is also selling both Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale with randomized rolls. Players should visit him each weekend as he’ll be carrying different rolls.
Hawkmoon Rolls:
Fluted Barrel Alloy Magazine Rangefinder Smooth Grip
Dead Man’s Tale
Chambered Compensator Riccochet Rounds Outlaw Fitted Stock
