Outside of The Lie getting fixed, Bungie also provided a few more weekly details on the many changes it has coming. This week focused on the idea of word loot, weapons that can be acquired from next season’s new engram, and various tweaks to some weapon perks as well. Fan favorites like Outlaw, Rapid Hit, and Feeding Frenzy are all getting adjusted while some lesser used ones like PUlse Monitor and Hipfire Grip are getting slight buffs.

As the Season of the Worthy is now only a few weeks away from the end, the exotic gear merchant Xur has returned as expected for his weekend visit inside of Destiny 2. Follow this guide for his location as well as a review of what he’s currently selling for the weekend of May 22, 2020.

Where is Xur?

This weekend, players should head to Nessus and board the Golden Barge of Calus to find Xur.

From the Director, head to Nessus and load into Watcher’s Grave. Once loaded in, run forward until the zone opens up. The Golden Barge is floating nearby with Xur hanging out towards the back of the ship near the treasure chests.

Class Armor

Keep in mind that the Armor 2.0 update has caused Xur’s items each week to mirror the rolls players get from pulling these items from their own Collections. As it stands, players should likely hold on to their shards if they already own the following items. Players can use the Fated Engram to pull something a little different if nothing in his inventory is appealing this week, including newer exotic items.

Here are Xur’s three gear pieces this weekend:

Karnstein Armlets - Warlock gauntlets

This weekend, the Karnstein Armlets are available for Warlocks. These are a strong Warlock exotic item, that gives the player added survivability thanks to its exotic perk. Upon a melee kill, Vampire’s Caress restores a large portion of health while also continuing to restore health for a short duration afterward.

This is an item that all Warlocks should have as it’s a very strong item in PvE situations and activities like Gambit, Escalation Protocol, or Blind Well where there are large groups of enemies to overcome. There are much better options for PvP players, but it’s a fun exotic to play around with

Void Enhanced. Stat Values:

Mobility +6 Resilience +7 Recovery +13 Discipline +6 Intellect +10 Strength +6

Celestial Nighthawk - Hunter helmet

Just on sale last month, the powerful Celestial Nighthawk is back on sale for Hunters who prefer Golden Gun. Its intrinsic perk is Hawkeye Hack which modifies the Golden Gun to fire a single, high damage shot. Enemies killed by the shot explode and the player gets a moderate portion of super energy returned.

For those who care about dealing huge amounts of damage, the Nighthawk remains a top tier exotic. While not great at crowd clearing or taking out multiple players in the crucible, this exotic remains a must have for some of the more difficult activities like Nightfalls and Raids. Hunter players will be doling out massive damage to bosses, which also makes this a great item to take on the Grandmaster Nightfall activities.

Void Enhanced. Stat Values:

Mobility +7 Resilience +13 Recovery +6 Discipline +6 Intellect +12 Strength +6

Mask of the Quiet One - Titan helmet

This sinister looking helmet is a subclass neutral item, meaning it can be equipped and used with any Titan subclass. It’s unique perk is called Dreaded Visage with provides ability energy when the player is damaged. When they’re critically damaged, kills regain maximum health.

In the current meta, this is a viable option for Titans, though it’s worth noting that this item only restores the red bar health and not the shields like the One Eyed Mask. Getting into close range battles, this item will likely shine as it keeps players alive and filled with ability energy. It’s a useful item but certainly not required at this point.

Void Enhanced. Stat Values:

Mobility +6 Resilience +8 Recovery +10 Discipline +6 Intellect +6 Strength +12

Exotic Weapon

Originally introduced inside of the Forsaken expansion, the Cerberus+1 is an auto rifle that acts more like a shotgun. The reason for this is due to its intrinsic perk called Four-Headed Dog which causes the gun to shoot erratic bullets from all four gun barrels when fired. However, the players gains a bit more control over where these shots go thanks to its exotic trait, Spread Shot Package. Aiming the weapon reduces the projectile spread.

For most players, the Cerberus is a fun weapon to play around with, though it’s more like a fully automatic shotgun that uses primary ammo. As expected, this weapon isn’t great at longer ranges like most of its brethren in this weapon class but it’s capable of shredding enemies who get too close. In the game’s current meta, this isn’t a required weapon to own, but it’s fun to mess around with, especially when clearing large groups of enemies.

Additional perks:

Rifled Barrel Fluted Barrel Full Bore
