As indicated by the update’s 7 GB size, Destiny 2’s most recent expansion has quite a lengthy amount of patch notes, and of course, much of the content and changes will be new additions that tie into the arrival of Forsaken. The update unearths a slew of different features, such as as the level cap being increased to 50, Year 2 weapons receiving random perks, and much more. In other words, someone who played Destiny 1 on PS4 will have to be using the same PSN account for Destiny 2 to recognize the history of playing the first game....

As revealed in the initial Season of the Splicer trailer, Destiny 2 fans were greeted with the return of Ikora Rey. According to the Help section of Bungie’s website, players will no longer be able to log in to Destiny 2 starting at 8 a.m. and any who are already online will be removed from activities at 9 a.m. As with any scheduled maintenance, there is the potential that it could be extended past 2 p.m., which has happened in the past with Destiny 2. The reason for the maintenance will be primarily to prep for the December 5th launch of the first major expansion for Destiny 2, Curse of Osiris....

As seen in the tweet below from GameStop, Destiny 2 fans will notice Lord Shaxx standing alongside a Ghost, as he and the artificial intelligence robot will be included in Destiny 2’s Mega Construx Cabal Bruiser Battle Building Set for $30. Guardians also have the option of obtaining two other sets from GameStop to get the in-game emblem, as one can purchase Mega Construx’s S-34 Ravensteel Sparrow (a GameStop exclusive) for $16, and Mega Construx’s Cabal Harvester Dropship for a whopping $200....

Other factors to consider when making builds and choosing loadouts include Exotic items, which are limited to one Exotic weapon and one Exotic piece of armor, and mods, which are acquired in various means and can be applied onto every armor piece depending on their elemental affinity. As such, it’s not uncommon to see players come up with great Destiny 2 builds that can one-shot bosses, even, like the popular middle tree Sunbreaker Titan build with Synthoceps, Tractor Cannon, and a One-Two Punch shotgun....

It’s not uncommon to witness posts from people saying how they felt accepted by the community or even helped within the game to achieve something difficult for them. An example comes from Raids, where at times people unite thanks to apps that allow them to form groups with strangers in order to get a chance at defeating extremely hard bosses and obtain marvelous loot. The fantasy is there because the community has made it a reality, and that’s why a Destiny 2 player is now holding a giveaway of two copies of The Witch Queen Deluxe Edition and the 30th Anniversary Pack....

Reddit user SmartieStyle shared a brief clip of them using Bastion while at a Destiny community event in the Netherlands. As the player explains, they were dismantling gear and weapons on a sanctioned copy of Destiny 2 when the Bastion and the Devil’s Ruin appeared in their inventory. Unfortunately, they did not share any footage of the Devil’s Ruin in action, but SmartieStyle did say that they had been told it is “very overpowered....

As such, with plenty of class-exclusive Exotic armor pieces comes the burden of deciding which ones to favor over the others, especially considering that some of them have powerful interactions with Exotic weapons. This is what Destiny 2 YouTuber and content creator Marshix tackles in a recent video, showcasing great Exotic combos to try before The Witch Queen, and possibly picking a build to start the new campaign with....

A huge problem for many Destiny 2 fans was that unlocking weapon patterns was a chore, as the only way to do that was to obtain multiple copies of a given weapon that also had Deepsight Resonance. This still holds true, but the grind has been made easier with increased drop rates for those pesky red-border weapons. This change combines perfectly with the fact that more and more players are now getting their crafting materials as time passes, making weapon crafting more accessible....

The changes ultimately raised the bar on most of the game’s weapons, but unfortunately punished accurate players who chose headshot-hungry weapon types like hand cannons or scout rifles. Cutting the reward for accurate play ultimately leveled the playing field across the weapons in most skill brackets. This has, however, lead to high-skill players flocking to the reliability and rapid DPS of automatic weapons, in contrast to the meta back in the original Destiny....

It’s only been two days since the expansion introduced icy Darkness-based subclasses to Destiny 2, and already players have found a way to break them to their advantage. As shared by YouTuber Cheese Forever, pulling off the glitch with the Shadebinder’s super is fairly simple, as it requires players to alternate between their heavy and light attacks in time with their Guardian’s animation cues. The trickiest part is getting the timing down, but once they do, players can spam the attacks for far longer than they’re supposed to....

Much like last week brought players in to try and get the revamped Messenger pulse rifle, this week has another enticing reward. However, the only way to get this one is to win, and win a lot. Moreover, earning Igneous Hammer as a Flawless reward turns it into the Adept version, which can slot in Adept mods (more potent versions of existing mods)....

Recently discovered and discussed on the Destiny 2 Reddit, players found it impossible to trigger the heroic event modifier when taking part in the Warsat public event on Mars. Like the previous game, players scan then defend it by standing around it and raising a percentage meter. In order to trigger the heroic modifier, players need to take out high-level targets during the event such as Witches that trigger at specific points of progression....

Shortly after the mistake, Bungie community manager Cosmo posted an update on the official Destiny 2 forum, confirming the mistake and bearing bad news. Use of the Wavesplitter on PC and Xbox will, unfortunately, have to be disabled as soon as Bungie is able to put together a fix. The silver lining of Cosmo’s announcement is that those who purchased the Wavesplitter will be able to keep it. Bungie’s fix will prevent players from equipping and using the trace wifle, but come September 2019 when Sony’s Wavesplitter PS4 exclusivity ends for the weapon it’ll unlock with no further action required....

While Bungie appears to be firing on all cylinders with storytelling this season, the studio also made one of the biggest sandbox changes in quite a while. The hotly debated Stasis subclass was hit with significant nerfs this week, attempting to bring the popular abilities back in line for PvP modes like Crucible. All three subclasses were heavily impacted and will likely see a big usage decline going forward....

Using what Bungie calls the Destiny Content Vault, or DCV for short, Bungie will remove older Destiny 2 content to make way for new content. But in the interest of making sure that it doesn’t only take away, Bungie will also cycle content back in from both Destiny 2 and Destiny 1 throughout the game’s future years. Bungie is bringing some quality of life changes to other elements of Destiny 2 as well including changes to the Vanguard Strikes playlist, which is now being renamed Vanguard Ops, and the reveal of two new Nightfall weapons. Bungie took to its website to highlight all the changes that will be coming to Destiny 2 in the coming weeks in a “This Week At Bungie” post. This has become common place each week in order to maintain a point of contact between the company and the loyal Destiny 2 players that have kept the game as popular as it is for nearly five years....

The bug is tied to the random bounties that can unlock when completing other bounties or dismantling gear. For clans, there is a perk that will unlock an additional bounty when completing a bounty. And then there are the blue bounties that can unlock any time a player dismantles gear. Under normal circumstances, an extra bounty is useful but if a player earns one while their pursuits are full the bounty will go to the postmaster....
