This is huge for Destiny 2, which despite huge expansions like Forsaken and Shadowkeep, has kept all legacy content in the game up until this point. Come November 10, several base planets, DLC planets, and their related areas/activities will be placed into the DCV. For a game as huge as Destiny 2 is currently, it’s a bit of a double-edged sword. There’s still a lot of content remaining in the game, and likely still will have plenty to do after the DCV shelving, but it does mean a lot of what Destiny 2 currently offers is being shelved for newer activities....

For those who don’t know, the Guardian Games event pits Destiny 2’s three player classes against one another, with players getting points by completing various challenges and missions. Each week new Contender Cards and Triumphs become available to help players gather laurels and medals to donate toward’s their class’ points for the week. While last year Destiny 2’s Titan class largely dominated the event, it is an entirely new year with a variety of new balance changes and class tweaks to mix things up....

First up is all the new information about the raid coming in Forsaken. According to the leak, the new raid is allegedly called Last Wish, which hints at the return of the long-dead Ahamkara wish dragons. While thought to be dead, there may be a version of one still hiding out in Destiny 2’s Dreaming City. While no details were given about the boss, the name is supposedly Dul Incaru, the Eternal Return....

Of course, the weapon is not really in the game nor planned to be in there, at least from what is officially known about Stasis weapons, which will be coming to the Kinetic slot as the last Destiny 2 TWAB announced. Instead, what JB3 found is another funny glitch that occurs when spamming the Hunter’s Stasis Super, called Silence and Squall, for a very long time. This was done inside Eris’ portal on the Moon while having a sword equipped on the character....

The Cryptarch at The Farm is someone players of Destiny might already be familiar with from the Iron Temple in the Rise of Iron expansion: Tyra Karn. She survived the fall of the The Last City, and she will be the character players at The Farm visit to unlock loot. Since The Farm is seemingly replacing The Last City social space from the first Destiny, Tyra Karn’s inclusion raises the question of what happened to the old Cryptarch, Rahool....

While the details of how players will complete the quest are still unknown, each armor piece will drop when players complete its associated quest step. The good news is that each piece of armor will drop as a powerful reward, meaning each piece will drop at a higher level than players’ current overall Power level. This new Iron Banner quest is required to get this season’s armor set in Destiny 2....

At the beginning of the episode, Roger approaches Klaus who is playing a video game. Klaus recommends whoever he is playing with to visit the planet Titan and purchase the Wardcliff Coil from Xur, but the other player does not have the Destiny 2 Legendary Shards required to do so. In response, Klaus shares a few choice words that are censored by TBS with the other player, who he then scoffs at being a third grader....

That character is known as the Consul. Likely another member of the Cabal, Destiny 2 project lead Mark Noseworthy describes the Consul “like the coach on the sidelines while the Olympic runner is getting gold.” Bungie says that players will see the Consul in cinematics as he interacts with Ghaul, helping flesh out Ghaul as a character and his motivations behind his attack on the Guardians, which is called the Red War....

What Is Destiny New Light? Destiny 2: New Light is not a trial version of the game. It’s a full, free-to-play edition of Destiny 2 that includes all of the locations and features found in the original paid version of the game prior to the release of the latest expansions, Destiny 2: Forsaken and Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. New Light allows anyone to enjoy Destiny 2 while offering the option to purchase expansions and other downloadable content (DLC) individually....

As seen below in the launch trailer for Destiny 2’s open beta, fans who give the trial a go will get access to the title’s opening story mission, a co-op Strike, as well as competitive multiplayer. As far as the PvP content is concerned, though, Bungie didn’t explicitly reveal what types of game modes players should expect to see in the beta, but it’s likely that the developer will further unpack more of the trial’s details in the days leading up to it going live....

In standard fashion for this type of referential gear, Felwinter’s Lie has returned to Destiny 2 through a fairly extensive quest that requires the community to contribute together to reach a huge milestone. As a result of this milestone, and the way that it forces players to participate in the Seraph Tower public events that were recently introduced as part of Season of the Worthy. Twitter users BDTeej and SilentStep79 are among several Destiny 2 players expressing their appreciation for the Destiny 2 Revision Zero Exotic quest that don’t seem to be as favorable towards the Spire of the Watcher dungeon. Being the most recently added dungeon to Destiny 2, Spire of the Watcher would normally see an influx of players delving through it, but Season of the Seraph may not be a reflection of previous major content updates....

Destiny 2 streamer Gigz says it took him significant amounts Legendary Shards, planetary materials, and hours of time to get enough of the game’s currencies in order to get all the Tributes necessary to complete the Tribute Hall. The final reward for getting all 50 Tributes is an exotic emote called “X Marks the Spot” that causes a character to spawn a shovel into their hands, dig at their feet, and pull up a chest....

Beyond Light is particularly interesting now that Destiny 2 is getting closer to the release of next year’s expansion, The Witch Queen. Beyond Light introduced the planet Europa, home to human settlements destroyed by the Collapse and facilities that belonged to the Bray corporation. However, the very concept of Europa as a location in Destiny 2 was not something entirely new. Back in 2013, Bungie revealed some concept art for Destiny, and there were pieces for zones that were never actually included in the game on release or at a later date, including Europa, which looks almost identical in Destiny 2 compared to the art....

Book One: Uldren Sov This lore entry revolves around the Awoken Prince, and can be found in collectibles scattered across the Destiny 2 worlds. It gives some interesting insight into the relationship between Uldren and his Sister, as well as how Uldren came to lead the Scorn. Book 2: The Tangled Shore Most players will complete this lore book without realizing it, as players unlock the lore as they complete the Forsaken campaign....

One Destiny 2 fan has deduced that the curated god roll versions of the Last Wish raid weapons have a higher chance of dropping on certain encounters in the raid. It could also be that these weapons only drop from these encounters, but considering that this is a player-led experiment, it’s not 100% confirmed at this point. Reddit user redka243 posted the list below showing from which raid encounters these curated god roll weapons appear to be dropping....

Witherhoard is an exotic special grenade launcher that goes in the kinetic slot. It is not only unique in that regard but is also one of the few weapons in Destiny 2 that deals damage over time. RELATED: Destiny 2: How to Get the Ruinous Effigy Exotic Trace Rifle The weapon deals this tick damage exceptionally well, and thus, has found a place in many players’ loadouts, regardless of activity....

While pretty cool, Microsoft had a couple more announcements for Destiny 2 players currently on the Xbox. Namely, the game and all expansions would be coming to Game Pass in September while the upcoming Beyond Light expansion will be added on its launch date in November. Additionally, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers would be able to play Destiny 2 on mobile devices through Project xCloud. It’s worth noting that seasonal content will be sold separately, so players will still need to purchase season passes going forward....

However, in order to pull this off successfully, Bungie also announced the Destiny Content Vault. This feature will be were legacy content is retired from the main game as new content is added in. However, content going into the vault doesn’t mean it’s being permanently removed as Bungie confirmed things could returned in a refreshed and retweaked sort of way. Next Fall, the Cosmodrome patrol zone from the original Destiny makes its grand return along with the Vault of Glass raid....

Whatever the case may be, fans found plenty of new loot to chase after including reworked legendary weapons like the Zaouli’s Bane hand cannon, Smite of Merain pulse rifle, and the Touch of Malice exotic scout rifle. Those who manage to beat the odds and get their hands on the reimagined Destiny exotic also may have discovered that the catalyst can be unlocked by finding a series of plates and dunking four orbs of light, a practice that celebrates a classic Destiny Easter egg....
