With that in mind, developer Bungie is adding a new exclusive emblem to Destiny 2 with the Shadowkeep expansion, which the developer will award monthly to the most fashionable Guardians. To get the emblem, players will have to win “a fashion show of sorts” that Bungie will host. The biggest change coming with the next update will be a removal of the restriction on ballistic log inventory. Previously, Destiny 2 would remove any ballistic logs from a player’s inventory after the weekly reset. But now those logs will carry over and players can hold up to 5 in their inventory. Unfortunately, Bungie is still putting a limit where players can only purchase two of the three powerful frames per week....

In a new interview with EDGE, Smith revealed that “an extremely high percentage” of Destiny 2 players have finished the campaign and managed to hit the 300 level cap, a data point that surprised even the development team, who didn’t expect such a “shocking amount of players” to have accomplished both milestones. Compared to the complaints about the original Destiny’s endgame leveling system, Smith’s reveal is a testament to the improvements Bungie has made in order to keep players interested in playing....

To acquire the Infinite Forge weapons in Destiny 2, players will first need to unlock access to them. The cost of shaders in Destiny 2 used to be a reasonable 40 Bright Dust, but to coincide with the new transmog system, Bungie upped the cost by a whopping 650%. Now, players must choose their purchases wisely, as one shader now goes for 300 Bright Dust. While players took umbrage with this change when it was first implemented a while back, Reddit user u/AngryMrMaxwell has reintroduced the issue to the online forum, calling it, “irredeemably awful....

The Thrallway has been one of the most desirable locations for players to grind out experience, bounties, and even Exotic catalysts, but it was changed with the launch of The Witch Queen to be less effective at all that. This didn’t make players stop searching for the perfect AFK farm spot, and a recent video from a Destiny 2 content creator highlights as much. Bungie spoke about the new naming system, titled Bungie Name, as part of the latest This Week at Bungie post. Crossplay is the main focus of the post, outlining how matchmaking will work and limitations being put in place to even the playing field between console and PC players. That said, a large focus was given to the Bungie Name system which will serve as a player’s unifying Destiny 2 ID between platforms....

This is merely the tip of the iceberg, and there are many tips and tricks that Destiny 2 players might find useful in preparation for Season 15, starting with the Vanguard Tokens. Bungie announced that Season 15 will feature a reworked system for Strikes and Nightfalls where Zavala will now have a full ritual reputation, much like the Drifter and Shaxx, and the game will no longer support Vanguard Tokens....

The Dawning in Destiny 2 will end on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Players have until that point to acquire and complete the associated Dawning quests, which includes the Exotic quest And to All a Good Flight, which players can acquire from Eva Levante. Completing And to All a Good Flight will net Destiny 2 players with the Starfarer 7M ship. The quest is fairly straightforward, tasking players with baking various goods in their oven using ingredients that are dropped by enemies throughout Destiny 2’s various game worlds....

While Shatterdive is more a case of overtuned ability in an otherwise gunplay-oriented mode, Destiny 2’s glitches have a long history. An example comes from the infamous “laser tag weekend,” which was largely based on Bungie knowing the Exotic trace rifle Prometheus Lens was dealing unintended amounts of damage, but still letting Xur sell it so players could have fun before an inevitable nerf. Still, there is something else that has been incredibly problematic for Bungie: Telesto - an Exotic fusion rifle that has broken the game too many times to count....

In addition, next week brings the series to Xbox Game Pass, giving subscribers a chance to jump into the game before Beyond Light arrives in less than two months. It’s worth noting that Forsaken and Shadowkeep won’t be available when Destiny 2 is. Instead, players will need to wait a couple of hours in order for hotfix 2.9.2.1 to arrive which will bring them online for Game Pass users. From there, they, along with all other Destiny 2 users will be able to partake in a new and special quest, honoring a former member of the team who recently passed....

This announcement upset some Destiny 2 fans who were hoping to use their year one arsenal in year two by bringing them up to higher power levels. However, it seems that those year one weapons will be at even more of a disadvantage on top of the fact that they do not have the random perk roll benefits. This could be Bungie’s way of encouraging players to use new weapons that are coming with the DLC....

Destiny 2’s weekly resets alter the Eververse items on sale, refresh the playlist powerful and pinnacle rewards, and rotate playlist maps and missions. The January 25th reset will bring players a familiar strike as the featured Nightfall and a fan-favorite Crucible game-mode: Devil’s Lair and Team Scorched.
