Sunshot is one of the game’s most unique weapons, as it fires explosive rounds and causes enemies to explode in a blast of fire when defeated with this gun. However, Sunshot features low damage and a painfully small magazine size for being a 150 RPM hand cannon. According to one of Bungie’s community managers, Sunshot will be getting some updates when Shadowkeep drops this October. While some big game changes can be slow, this one has been a long time coming....

Destiny 2 coming to PC isn’t much of a surprise considering it’s been rumored for months now. That said, nothing is ever official until announced by a developer. So with the official confirmation from Bungie now available, PC gamers can rejoice with the revelation. It will be interesting to see how a PC version of Destiny 2 plays out for the franchise and developer. There are many pros and cons that come with PC versions of games, especially when it comes to first-person shooters....

On the one hand, this sounds like a positive change for Destiny 2’s Strike playlist, as it will alleviate the burden of having to “carry” inactive players through the PvE encounters. Oftentimes players chose to go AFK during a Strike they don’t like in order to let the other two players complete the activity, and eventually, they show up at the end to collect the rewards. Obviously, players that want to gain rewards with minimal effort can still exploit this system by faking activity, but this is certainly a good start....

There had been plenty of speculation about changes coming to Destiny 2, and they now have been confirmed. The first-person online shooter was discussed by the director of the game, Luke Smith. The director did not waste any time explaining why changes needed to be made and wrote: “To be blunt, there isn’t enough pursuit out in the world.” Smith went on to detail the changes coming to the reward system in the game....

With that in mind, Bungie has been promising a bit of a return to form for Destiny 2’s core PvP mode, the Crucible, for quite a long while. Though the specifics have been hazy up until now, numerous developer blogs have suggested that the wheels were turning in the background, and the latest weekly This Week at Bungie blog post has finally confirmed as much. In the official release date announcement trailer, a number of weapons can be seen that carry this Vex visual theme. The images show a hand cannon, a pulse rifle, a scout rifle, and an auto rifle that all appear to share the same theme—black and gold, wires, and Vex glyphs. The scout rifle in the Warlock’s hands in the first image even appears to have a “Vex milk” container within its body....

When playing the Destiny 2: Forsaken theme, players can get a sense of the entire story Bungie is trying to tell. The intensity never quite fades, even though the theme has a slow build at the start. It feels epic and foreboding all at once, although that is likely because we already know exactly what is about to go down in the narrative. Listen closely and it is easy to pinpoint the important moments in the story, from the massive prison break at the Prison of Elders to the tragic moment that Guardians everywhere lose a beloved friend....

Luke Smith said Flashpoints are a new weekly event in Destiny 2 that can lead players—even those playing solo—to high-level rewards: So it appears that the Flashpoint will be a weekly instance that will rotate around to one of the four world zones in Destiny 2. It’s unclear whether Smith means that Flashpoints will take place anywhere within one of these destinations or if it will kick off at a more specific location within one of these worlds....

While speaking to Bungie PC lead David Shaw and senior software engineer Thomas Gawrys, PC gamer made an offhand comment about the Cryptarch. But rather than brush it off or answer the question, the two Destiny 2 devs said they are not sure if the character is even in the game. For those that might not be familiar, the Cryptarch is the Destiny vendor responsible for turning engrams into gear....

However, Raids also encourage exploring new builds and options to optimize a team’s strategy across the board, eventually leading to insane speedruns or players soloing the final boss. There are four Raids in Destiny 2 at the moment, and each of them offers a peculiar set of challenges both while completing the base activity and its final boss encounter, but a player managed to trivialize them all with a clever setup....

Fortunately, there are many simple ways that Bungie could go about introducing more content, aside from new DLCs and Destiny subclasses. In fact, a Destiny 2 fan on Reddit has pointed out that some of the current Destiny content would be perfect for the Vanguard Ops playlist. With Season of the Chosen’s launch, Bungie introduced a refreshed loot pool for Trials of Osiris, including plenty of brand-new weapons and a new armor set for each class. The PvP mode has had an incredibly shaky time in the last year since its launch, with the mode seeing several recent cancellations due to a match fixing scheme that allowed players to get the best loot with minimal effort....

Destiny 2’s sword skating relies on using the Eager’s Edge perk for legendary swords, or any teleporting perk on the Exotic swords. With Exotic swords available in the Monument to Lost Lights and legendary swords available through crafting, these general mobility exploits are available to every player regardless of owning any paid content. These mobility exploits are harmful to the game because recently the sword methods are enabling players to access secrets in Season 19’s content earlier than expected, with untold consequences for future content....

Another example comes from a recent discovery that allows Destiny 2 players to avoid enemy fire if they are invisible on their Sparrow, which would seem counterintuitive to those who don’t know about it. And yet, sure enough, if players find a way to make themselves invisible and hop onto their Sparrow, they can breeze through enemies without ever being noticed. Still, most of the time, these hidden interactions are tied to the game’s coveted Exotic items....

One thing that Guardians can be sure of when the Lucent Brood does appear in-game is that they will likely be one of the most difficult enemies that players encounter. Many of the enemies in Destiny 2 have different powers and abilities at their disposal, but the Witch Queen expansion will be the first time players have fought against the Light outside of the Crucible game mode. The use of the Light by the Lucent Brood will make them unique amongst the Hive and set them apart from their relatives that served Oryx, the Taken King, and Xivu Arath, the God of War....

As expected, Stasis gives players the ability to slow and even shatter frozen enemies where they stand. The Warlock becomes the staff wielding Shadebinder, the Hunter turns into the deadly Revenant, and the Titan gains the crushing force of an avalanche as a Behemoth. As cool and powerful as this new customizable subclass is, it’s unknown how this power will translate to the PvP oriented modes like Crucible. There’s some anxiety from fans assuming matches will devolve into slow paced combat due to constantly being slowed by new stasis grenades or being frozen solid....

Part of the new information surrounds the weekend exotics merchant Xur. As expected, the controversial merchant is getting an update once Shadowkeep arrives, expanding his inventory even futher. While players have already gotten a small taste these past couple of months, Bungie has confirmed that Year 3 will expand his inventory pool and the weekly Fated Engram to include world-drop Exotics from Year 2. This should help players continue to fill out their exotic collection for any missing loot from the past year....

Even if Trials of Osiris hit a speed bump, the game itself is actually thriving. Earlier this week, Destiny 2 fans on Steam noticed that the game was currently the third most played game, pulling in a high of 124,764. Naturally, Bungie’s live service title was lagging behind Counter Strike Global Offensive and Dota 2, two games that are always at the top of the charts. The large spike in numbers was likely tied to the weekly reset, which not only adds new content, but made the catalyst for Ager’s Scepter available....

While Bungie has yet to officially comment, another potential leak may give Destiny 2 fans the answer they’re looking for. Over on Twitter, Ginsor discovered two new text strings in the update 2.7.0.0 files with the phrase Trials of Osiris. While the potential discovery may be exciting, Ginsor stresses caution as icons and images were also discovered that don’t line up with things in the game such as a red engram and a very different looking Trials logo....

It’s not a widespread issue in the Destiny 2 community yet, but there are some players reporting the Clarion Call is not working for them. Some say that the double XP turns off once they complete a Milestone, while others think it is tied to redeeming a Powerful Gear reward. Whatever the case may be, this event was supposed to get players back into the Destiny 2 experience but for some players it is reminding them why they left in the first place....
