Bungie went a step further with the announcement of Destiny 2: Beyond Light and brought back a fan-favorite character from the original Destiny campaign, a story thread players have been wanting answers on for six years. The return of the Exo Stranger and the arrival of the Pyramid Ships is nothing short of exciting and makes the story of Beyond Light feel far more significant than last year’s Shadowkeep expansion....

Bungie isn’t shy about its stance on Destiny 2 exploits, and while the company has previously issued a number of tweaks and fixes to reduce the odds of players finding a new exploit before Guardian Games 2022 ends, there are issues still. In fact, the developer had to swap out the active Strike due to an all-new scoring bug that led to players getting hundreds of thousands of points easily....

Secrets are often bound to Raids in Destiny 2, as those are massive pieces of content that usually come with large, dedicated areas where Bungie can hide more things for players to find. And yet, there are things from the base game, features that have been in Destiny 2 ever since it was released in 2017, that some players never heard of before a certain time, like the secret area in The Tower shared on Reddit a few weeks ago....

Altogether, the Tangled Shore itself is an interesting enough location for Destiny 2, though it doesn’t much compete when it comes to the content that players are more interested in consistently engaging with. This of course means that many of these memes are more poking fun at the loss of this area rather than actually being mournful or resentful of the loss of much of this years old content....

However, while its PVE scene continuously demands that players rethink their builds on a regular basis as the challenges become different, Destiny 2’s PVP is a bit more static, at least where weapons are concerned. Specifically, there’s a big prevalance of shotguns and hand cannons in PVP, moreso than other weapon types. Bounty stacking is a practice that some players use to quickly get through the early levels of a new Destiny 2 Season Pass once it’s released. The game doesn’t automatically complete your bounties, which means players can finish their objectives and keep the bounties around for as long as they need, which means they can turn them in for XP after a new Season comes out. However, many have died in Destiny 2 and its predecessor, with exemplar Guardians being Eriana-3, Andal Brask, and the beloved Cayde-6. Even prince Uldren Sov met his demise, only to be resurrected as Crow. While Cayde’s death was part of the marketing campaign for the launch of Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion, the fact that it would happen was foreshadowed by the introduction of an otherwise anonymous sidearm: Spoiler Alert. The gun’s description states that someone is going to die, and with the weapon returning in The Witch Queen, it’s worth exploring the possibilities for who it might be....

In a prior Bungie blog post, the Destiny 2 developer gave a brief overview of Crucible Labs, explaining that it will offer an opportunity for PvP fans to test new features and modes. In essence, this will be a Public Test Realm where players can see how they like a new aspect coming to Crucible and offer their feedback directly to Bungie. To help fill the time, players have seemingly tapped into their creativity either through trying new things in game or turning to crafting in real life to make something really special. One user used the new Ruinous Effigy exotic as a model to create a replica version out of wood. Another player dove into some research and discovered that an often overlooked exotic sniper rifle may be worth using for those who really want to maximize their boss damage output....

Unlike some of the other available exotic quests, this one isn’t nearly as challenging. The trade off here is that players will need to grind a bit in order to complete some steps that include generating orbs, playing with others that have the Rose equipped, and more. Thankfully, there’s a faster way to get through many of the steps if players know which activities to focus on in order to get the biggest progression boost....

A big focus of the team at Bungie for Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is making the reward chase a bit more predictable while still keeping an element of RNG. Alongside the Seasonal Artifact, Bungie is adding a Season Pass to the main menu. Each season will have its own Free and Premium version of the Season Pass with 100 ranks to progress through. Players unlock new ranks by earning XP in game through normal activities like bounties, doing strikes, playing a Crucible match, and completing challenges....

First off, the art for Destiny 2 shows a Last City in turmoil. Fires glow and smoke bellows across the landscape of which players in the Tower have stared across for the past two and a half years. Something or someone has definitely laid waste to what has been the one safe place in the solar system for Guardians and the rest of humankind. And that someone whom many fans have quickly jumped to blame is the Cabal....

The balance changes for Exotic weapons in The Witch Queen start with a major PvE buff. Bungie explains that it believes Exotic Primary weapons and Trace Rifles a currently dramatically underpowered and rarely worth bringing to PvE content compared to Legendary weapons. As such, Bungie will be improving Exotic Primary weapons and Trace Rifle damage vs, minor enemies by a healthy 40%. This change impacts every Exotic that uses Primary ammo, including any secondary effects they might have....

According to Bungie, the Annual Pass will include three new content packs, new items to chase, and new activities to play. The content packs will also include new records to collect and new endgame activities. The three content packs all launch after the Forsaken expansion, with The Black Armory DLC launching in Winter 2018, Joker’s Wild in Spring 2019, and Penumbra in Summer 2019. Following the livestream, Bungie announced the various pre-order packages for Forsaken, some of which include the Annual Pass as well....

Now, with Destiny 2 releasing on PC there has been some concern that things might change. As most know, Destiny 2 will not be releasing for PC on September 6th, but instead will arrive over a month later, on October 24th. Considering that, PC players have voiced concerns that DLC releases for Destiny 2 might also be delayed, although there is no evidence to support those claims. Thankfully, Bungie has come forward to confirm that no such delay will affect DLC on any platform, and all post-release content will launch on all three simultaneously....

The war against vault space has been a problem for Destiny practically since its launch, with players struggling to find enough room for all of the gear they collect over time. To Bungie’s credit, the developer did increase vault space several times for Destiny 1, but Destiny 2 has taken a step backward by giving players less space. There was the hope that, with Destiny 2 being a new game and supporting current-gen consoles only, vault space issues would be a thing of the past, but they are still as relevant as ever....
