With clans being a major focus this weekend for Destiny 2’s first Clarion Call double XP event, Bungie took an opportunity to correct a recent issue discovered with the Venture Capital Clan Perk. Essentially, the perk increases the chance for reputation tokens when completing Nightfalls, Raids and Trials. The bug in question, however, unexpectedly granted Faction Rally tokens for completed events. Obviously, as the Faction Rally is over, players were left with no way to turn them in for rewards....

Bungie community manager dmg04 explained that players can expect more of these messages that pop up when logging in. At first, this may not seem much different from what usually appears in Destiny 2, but the example he tweeted contains information about what is happening in the normal cycle of Destiny 2 as opposed to special live events or the start of a new season. Here, the message lets players know that next week Iron Banner is returning, the curse in the Dreaming City will be at its highest, as well as teasing the start of Season of the Drifter in a few weeks....

Mars, Mercury, Io, Titan, and the Leviathan were the first destinations Bungie vaulted ahead of Beyond Light’s release, along with Destiny 2’s launch campaign, strikes, and raids. Narratively, Bungie set this up in Season of Arrivals with the arrival of the Black Fleet across the system and several pyramid ships entering the four aformentioned planets’ orbits. Their removal was finalized with the season’s closing live event which saw the darkness seemingly consume the four planets, the Leviathan fleeing, and the Traveler healing itself to drive back the darkness....

For those that haven’t been keeping up with the current state of Destiny 2, last week an anonymous poster on 4chan leaked a potential large DLC for Destiny 2. This DLC was to be titled Collapse and would be the biggest expansion of the game to date. This new leak refutes that information instead claiming that some of the content will come as a Season 11. Since none of these leaks have ever proven to be especially accurate, fans should take it with a grain of salt....

Thanks to datamines of the Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals Triumphs, players knew that there was one final piece of the Interference storyline left to complete. There was speculation that Guardians were going to have a final showdown with Nokris in an alternate version of the Interference Mission, and they were right. Not only does defeating Nokris complete the Singular Exegete lore book, but it also unlocks the Secret Triumph on the Forerunner seal....

Even though the player base has continued to expand, it doesn’t mean the game is perfect by any means. While many fans have been enjoying the increased focus on seasonal storylines weaving a larger narrative tale set culminating in what should be an explosive showdown with Savathun, the Witch Queen, gameplay related bugs have continued to drag down the experience. The latest issues forced Bungie to disable popular exotics like the Telesto fusion rifle and Raiju’s Harness Hunter armor, though players have seemingly discovered a new problem....

To access this area, Destiny 2 players must go to Rheasilvia in the Dreaming City and find a secret alcove that lets players get beneath the terrain. Below the surface of Rheasilvia is a way to get to a bridge which contains one of the hidden chests in the Last Wish raid. So far this is the only chest that has been found, but the chest is giving players loot from the raid loot pool, including weapons and armor....

While Bungie has mentioned that the use of this exploit will disqualify a Fireteam from the World’s First Race, some Fireteams are surely going to reenact the old ritual of pushing Atheon off of the ledge. While this will surely be patched by Bungie at some point, Guardians may want to do it for the memes. Over the last few weeks, more and more scaffolding appears behind Ikora with each weekly reset. Given the circular nature of the main structure that is being built, it seems very likely that Ikora is building a Vex portal. It makes sense since Ikora has been tasking players with collecting Vex parts each week in exchange for a powerful reward. Why is Ikora Building a Vex Portal? Even with plenty of new content arriving almost on a weekly basis, Season of Dawn is quickly turning into one of the buggiest seasons ever. In addition to ritual weapon progress getting bugged and the Telesto also breaking once more, one of the major issues is related to the European Dead Zone Obelisk. As an important part of the current season, players are typically unable to interact with it without performing some sort of workaround....

One thing that won’t be leaving after the reset next week is the special 30th Anniversary Update content including the free Dares of Eternity event as well as the premium dungeon Grasp of Avarice. Destiny 2 players will have more time to continue farming for those perfect rolls, finishing off the complete set of Thorn Armor, as well as claiming the catalyst for the exotic rocket launcher Gjallarhorn. This week’s hotfix, while avoiding the current debate surrounding the exotic Divinity, made a pretty decent nerf to a popular Titan exotic. The Loreley Splendor helm has proven to be a massively popular item for Titans, especially with its ability to heal a critically wounded player. Bungie has clearly deemed the healing effect to be too strong, preventing many Titans from dying entirely, that it has reduced the restoration effects, now giving only 1 bonus instead of the typical 2....

Season of Opulence introduces a new activity called the Menagerie which will allow players to earn rewards with the help of the Chalice of Opulence. In a blog post today, Bungie broke down how this new item will work when players load up the new season for the first time. The Chalice of Opulence allows players to modify the rewards that they will earn during the Menagerie, giving more player choice to fight against bad RNG....

As Bungie discussed the weapon changes, it sounds like the goal is to open up the number of viable options players have, which is leading to a majority of buffs with these changes. Of course, a few specific weapons that tend to tip the scales of being a little too overly effective in Destiny 2 are being brought down slightly. When it comes to auto rifles, their damage is being increased for rapid-frame, adaptive, and high-impact archetypes....

In a tweet posted today, Smith delayed his previous promise to release the State of the Game post this week. It will instead be, tentatively, published early next week. Destiny fans won’t be disappointed, though. Smith is now promising a two-part post with each half stretching up to 8 pages long. While Smith isn’t clear about whether both halves will be coming next week, players can assume that at least the first half will be published soon....

This is good news for Destiny 2 players who wanted another shot, but not ideal for those who already claimed last month’s prizes. The forums are already ablaze with players who are worried about the loot pool being too overcrowded with older items. The issue being that these players will likely receive repeats of gear they already have, which takes much of the joy out of the experience. Their only recourse is to pledge to a different Faction to guarantee new gear, but that certainly puts players in a predicament if they don’t like what other Factions are offering....

In the full patch notes, Bungie confirms that the latest change to the Shadowbringer’s Penumbral Blast has been rolled back slightly, and the seasonal item Cryptolith Lure has seen adjustments. Additionally, a number of recent bugs and issues that have affected Destiny 2 players on specific platforms have also been addressed, hopefully making raids and nightfalls easier to organize. At the moment, any legendary gear can be infused with any higher level piece of equipment within the same classification, such as armor type, in order to keep gear that players want and still reach the highest available levels in Destiny 2. This has been a major part of the Destiny loot system since Year 2 of the original game, with tweaks here and there to fine tune the process into what players recognize today....

Recently, there was a leak that hinted at the introduction of a completely new destination in the game. However, it’s unclear if this destination will be a part of the Lightfall expansion or the one after that. But if the leaks are to be believed, then a new playable destination is definitely on the cards for Destiny 2. When is the new destination coming to Destiny 2? As mentioned before, it’s currently unclear when this new location will be coming to the game....

Prior to that, many Destiny 2 players are likely aware that Clan Redeem was the first team to beat the Last Wish raid, getting the honorary World’s First title and reward. While this Kalli solo achievement isn’t one with a significant reward, it is one that comes with significant bragging rights. After all, this raid isn’t so simple.
