Bungie had already said it would be getting rid of the timer mechanic on the Nightfall - that much was clear. The Winter’s Guile Exotic gauntlets are a Warlock-exclusive item. The Exotic’s unique perk is called the Warlord’s Sigil and it increases a player’s melee damage with consequent melee kills. It isn’t a widely well-regarded Exotic, but some players have clearly been using it. The bug in question, according to Bungie, is preventing the Warlord’s Sigil perk from resetting after a designated period of time. In other words, the perk would stack melee damage constantly without resetting....

One such secret involves the Double Trouble triumph which tasks players with killing boss characters that have only just recently been discovered by Destiny 2 players. Here’s how to find and activate the hidden boss fight within the Dreaming City. Prerequisites Players will need to first head to the Divalian Mists of The Dreaming City as the event kicks off right outside the main gates to the palace. Three players are also required to activate the event, so while having three teammates is recommended for better communication, a group of randoms works just as well....

The typo belongs to a new Warlock bond - the Reverie Dawn Bond. The legendary bond applies two effects to the wearer. First: While in the Dreaming City (Destiny 2’s newest raid and endgame area), you deal more damage to all targets. Second: While in the Dreaming City, you take more damage “form” all sources. The “form,” of course, is the mistake here. This isn’t the first time that Bungie has made a typo in their work - those interested can read about some of them in this Reddit thread, from a couple of years ago....

A new glitch discovered by Destiny 2 players allows for two of the same mod to be equipped, which multiplies its effects. This can lead to some extremely powerful results, such as multiplied damage for Void supers and kills leading to insanely fast melee and grenade recharge rates. Tormentors are hulking bipedal creatures, standing at least 10 feet tall with toned arms and legs. This has led one player, posting online as tjgreene27, to hunt down a specific set of Titan gear and shaders in order to create an in-game costume based on a popular Disney character. Since Destiny launched, players have been trying to guess accurate locations of landmarks in the game. Some areas have precisely named locations, like the Cosmodrome in Old Russia, and European Dead Zone in Destiny 2. But for years, Guardians couldn’t accurately place where The Last City was on Earth. Some players have inaccurately assumed that The Last City, because of the Walls seen in The Tower, are the same ones at the start of the Destiny 1 or Destiny: New Light missions....

As confirmed by Bungie this past week, Destiny 2: Beyond Light will feature another power level bump like in Shadowkeep. Every piece of armor will jump up to power level 1050, which is the current powerful cap for Destiny 2. Destiny 2’s Arc Week will begin on April 9th with the weekly reset. In what most players probably expected, all applicable activity modifiers will include Arc Singe (which boosts Arc damage) and bounties will be Arc-focused. The game will also be featuring the Mayhem Crucible playlist, which features rapid recharge on players’ supers and abilities. The idea behind Mayhem is to allow players to try out a myriad of newly buffed Arc subclasses....

In addition to upcoming content, Bungie also revealed new details on the Season 18 raid. While the studio opted not to reveal which Destiny reprised raid it chose to bring back, it did confirm that it will launch on August 26 at 10 AM PT. Even though Bungie has reduced its communication levels due to continued harassment towards its employees, the weekly blog post continues to be a valuable source of details for Destiny 2....

Late last week, veteran actor Tom Skerritt posted a picture of himself in a virtual meeting with numerous employees at Bungie including Pete Parsons, David Dague, Amy Johnson, and more. The nature of the meeting wasn’t disclosed but due to a paper Skerritt is holding, many believe he’s providing voice lines for Destiny 2 of some sort. Skerritt is a big name in the industry, having a lengthy history in the TV and film industry with roles like Viper from Top Gun, Dallas from Alien, Jimmy Brock from Picket Fences, David Drumlin from Contact, and much more....

Nine days after the expansion arrived, Bungie issued a hotfix to try and reel in this subclass which had quickly taken over the player versus player Crucible modes. Specifically, Destiny 2 players saw the Penumbral Blast melee attack range and projectile speed reduced as well as reducing its ability to freeze other players. The Winter’s Wrath super ability was also toned down by reducing its overall duration and making the heavy attack no longer impact non-frozen players....

As pointed out by the Redditor and Destiny 2 fan known as “zchvns”, all of the IKELOS weapons in the game now have unique firing sounds to make each of the firearms more aesthetically distinct from each other. While a lot of other Guardians have certainly noticed this change too, a quick scan of the action-RPG sequel’s official subreddit shows that not many players are too keen on how some of the guns sound now....

Bungie announced the staggered release during its weekly blog post. In it, the Destiny 2 developer called specific attention player feedback and a decision was apparently made to help give those raid teams a chance at immortality. The World’s First title will carry some asterisks based on the way Bungie is changing Prestige mode for Raid lairs (more on that in a bit), but there are still those that enjoy that initial race....

Most of the reveals from the Destiny 2 data mines have to do with story spoilers, but the one that has caught our attention involves some audio files from a mysterious Crucible announcer. Obviously Bungie has yet to confirm anything, and the studio is unlikely to do so before launch, but the audio files seem to be linked to Destiny 2’s version of Trials of Osiris. Clips include references to the new Survival mode that involves a preset amount of respawns, and callouts for the fireteam being “unworthy....

The datamine in question is very interesting to consider. It’s a series of file references connected by the term “felwinter.” The first such reference is “mission_felwinters_lie_scanning” and the subsequent references are “o_felwinter_coffin,” “o_felwinter_resurrect,” “o_felwinter_fight,” and most importantly “o_felwinter_siva.” This is the lone reference to SIVA that dataminers have found, but is nevertheless very intriguing.
