While this is unlikely to change the clan’s status as World’s First it does color the achievement in a new light. Even more so considering that Bungie decided to delay the Leviathan Prestige Raid to try and remove a known exploit from the encounter. The developer wasn’t able to remove it in time, however, but did say that the team would be monitoring completions to verify the World’s First team did everything legitimate....
Next season also brings a few changes with it, namely to Iron Banner. While Rift is getting moved out, Bungie announced a new Crucible mode will be taking its place. Eruption is a twist on Clash, Destiny’s team deathmatch style mode. Going on streaks boosts ability and class regeneration, with higher streaks granting more bonuses. However, at a 5 kill streak, the player becomes primed and needs to continue killing to stave off a countdown when they explode while also being hunted by the other team....
However, many fans continue to hold out hope that Forsaken exotics will finally get added to the loot pool when the Season of the Drifter kicks off sometime in March. However, this week also brought the first taste of mechanic changes in the form of Masterwork armor, artifact mods, and orb generation. Starting in Season 16, the cost to switch armor element types will be drastically reduced, and players won’t be limited to only unlocking 12 artifact mods. Players can continue leveling the season 16 artifact and potentially unlock all 25 mods available. Orb generation is no long tied to masterworked weapons, and instead will be made into a specific mod that can be placed inside a helmet for matching weapon damage types....
One of the latest involves an audio cue and visual glitch when players join a friend on Titan, one of Destiny 2’s destinations. Rather than hearing the landing music for Titan and seeing the blue moon, players instead hear the Taken King theme music and see Saturn before the game loads. Several Destiny 2 players have noted the visual bug and they say it can be replicated if players join a teammate in the middle of a mission on Titan....
This update will arrive with the next weekly reset on April 21, and Bungie has described what issues the update will address in its latest TWAB. However, one Destiny 2 fan has presented a solution that could easily fix some of the game’s biggest problems, at least on the PvE side. They suggest that Bungie create an adept tier of loot that will only drop from endgame activities. Those who have played the short campaign in Destiny 2’s Curse of Osiris expansion will be familiar with Sagira. She possesses (or “shares” as she calls it in-game) the player’s Ghost throughout most of the story missions. However, even at the end of the story told in the DLC, players are not awarded the exotic Ghost shell, officially called Sagira’s Shell. Sagira’s Shell does not show up alongside the other exotic Ghost shells added in Curse of Osiris, which can be found in the refreshed Eververse/Illuminated Engram inventory....
Before Beyond Light, Guardians were limited to using their abilities as subclasses of the Light, consisting of Void, Arc, and Solar powers that allowed for a limited selection of player builds. Stasis was released with the 3.0 system, including Aspects and Fragments that further fine-tune and customize builds, whereas the Witch Queen expansion and its first three seasons saw the Light overhauled with the same system. As for Lightfall, Strand is expected to follow suit....
This is an exciting time for Destiny 2 players, and staying caught up on all the new changes coming can help people at the top of their game. The free limited event Solstice of Heroes is well underway and almost over, so while players grapple with new items and armor they can also keep an eye on Bungie’s plans for Triumphs and Titles, both being ways for Destiny 2 players to track in-game progress and achievements....
The PC beta will be the first time players will be able to see and play a new map called Javelin-4, which will host the Control game mode in the beta. It’s unclear if the Nessus map called Endless Vale will also be available for the control mode or if Javelin-4 has replaced it. Either way, PC players (and console players that want to try out the PC version) have a new landscape to look forward to....
Destiny 2 players are always looking for more weapons and gear, though, and that’s the reason why Bungie introduced the dinosaur-themed new energy pulse rifle, called Jurassic Green. This gun can seem underwhelming at first, but it remains a good choice for both PVE and PVP with the right perk selection, and it also pairs exceptionally well with the new Dinosaur armor sets up for sale in the Eververse store, for either Bright Dust or Silver....
Leviathan’s Breath is an Exotic heavy bow first introduced in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep’s first season, Season of the Undying, and is still the only weapon of its type in the game. The heavy bow was originally available as the seasonal exotic quest where players were tasked with completing a task for Banshee-44 to unlock a weapons safe tucked away in a corner of the Tower. Leviathan’s Breath was also one of the first Exotics to include an intrinsic damage perk targeting Champions, specifically unstoppable Champions, in endgame content....
This upcoming race, now called “the Veil” by many fans, has been talked about for many years, but only recently gained traction. Over year 3, Destiny 2 started to heavily feature the Darkness, the Traveler’s antithesis, in its story. With Darkness subclasses now a reality, fans think there’s a greater chance to see a brand new race, fully allied with the pyramid ships that invaded the Solar System a couple of months prior....
Even with other bugs still plaguing the game, the final phase of Season of Dawn is rapidly approaching. One of the more mysterious aspects to the roadmap was the Empyrean Foundation, which was finally revealed yesterday in Bungie’s weekly update. The large scale, co-operative event is one that all players can help progress by donating polarize fractaline into the Twoer Obelisk. The event has seven stages, multiple triumphs, and a special emblem for those who donate more than 5,000....
Exotics have also been a hot topic in the community, first with the planned changes to popular weapons like Izanagi’s Burden. This week’s blog post also revealed that the developer has gone back in and tweaked many older exotics which the community has seemingly gave up on in favor of the better items. While there’s still a lot we don’t know, the few exotic changes and reworks Bungie did reveal for each of the three classes should add a bit of value to a merchant like Xur....
This week’s blog post also detailed changes coming to the much maligned Eververse store. While the microtransactions and items on offer has seemingly increased since the launch of Shadowkeep, Bungie is planning on removing any ships, Ghost shells, sparrows, or armor ornaments in the Eververse Store that are visually inspired by themes from Aspirational Activities. It’s expected that these items will now be obtainable from their respective activities, rather than simply being purchased....
With the current in-game season extended beyond what Bungie had originally planned, the marketing for the expansion has also been dragged out a bit longer than intended. As such, players have attempted to fill in the gaps with new theories and speculation with any added piece of information furthering that effort. As the voice of Zavala, who also has a number of rumors surrounding his story in the upcoming expansion, Lance Reddick has managed to get players excited despite delivering “good” and “bad news....
Destiny 2’s new Gambit activity is a 4v4 mode where each team of four is separated in their own arena where PvE enemies spawn. The ultimate goal is to summon a Primeval, basically a boss character and defeat it and thus ending the competition. But to summon a Primeval, teams will need to kill enemies and collect Motes that drop from those enemies. Players can collect and hold up to 15 Motes at a time, but if they die they will lose them....
