The livestream cancellation is sure to take the community by surprise but is arguably the right move for Bungie right now. After two livestreams failed to impress and Bungie confirmed an XP cooldown was in the game (it has since been removed), the developer has found itself in hot water, and a stream focused on “selling” its upcoming DLC was unlikely to be met with any positivity. There was a lot of hope surrounding these livestreams, but players soon found that Bungie chose to use them as a platform to reveal new content and avoid talking about improvements and updates....

Destiny 2 is currently nearing the end of its current season with Season of the Haunted, which saw the return of Calus and the Leviathan as the former Cabal emperor’s ship took orbit over Earth’s moon. Guardians were tasked with investigating the ship to learn of Calus’ intentions with the dormant lunar Pyramid alongside Eris Morn, Crow, Commander Zavala, and Cabal Empress Caiatl. The season’s narrative reached its climax ahead of Solstice as players were finally able to sever the connection between the Leviathan and the Pyramid, but not before Calus was able to fully give himself over to The Witness and become its newest herald....

With the voting Guardians made their voices heard, and Dinosaurs were able to achieve a landslide victory against the Movie Monsters. With over 200,000 votes cast on the event specific armor ornaments, it is good to know that both the community and the studio are hyped for the Halloween style event this fall. Rather than use the Hotfix to address any bugs or exploits, the latest update for Destiny 2 deals exclusively with Bungie’s prior decision to bar those who didn’t purchase Curse of Osiris from playing the content they previously had access to. Over the past day, the community manager for Bungie, dmg04, has been spilling the beans on the upcoming Destiny 2 patch ahead of its release. He is not doing it without a price, however. After linking to the GuardianCon charity stream, he promised information for donations. Once a certain threshold was passed, he would offer up a part of the patch notes. According to one of this posts, Momentum will be removed from Heroic Adventures in the upcoming patch....

For example, Finishers can spawn Special or Heavy ammo for players and their allies based on their loadout, which makes them much more valuable than some anticipated. Furthermore, Finishers can also allow Destiny 2 players to spare some ammo while fighting tough combatants, like Champions, who can regenerate their health if they are not constantly stunned with appropriate mods. However, Finishers were also used to cause a quite funny glitch that made players launch Raid bosses into the distance, to their death, making for very quick and entertaining runs....

The latter are often especially valuable to players as they allow them to change the appearance of their Destiny 2 characters in various ways, customizing their look. Players can also turn any armor piece they unlocked into a universal ornament by spending Synthweave, a material that is acquired by completing Ada-1’s Armor Synthesis bounties. This is the so-called transmog system that has been implemented in Destiny 2 a few months ago, and players started making incredible looks inspired by characters from their favorite franchises....

While most players have already found most of what Xur brings with him, new information regarding the quickly approaching Season of the Drifter may have given players a bit of hope for the Agent of the Nine’s future. Thanks to the renamed Invitations of the Nine, guardians will need to stop by Xur each week to collect new bounties that open up paths to new lore and powerful rewards. Thankfully, the added spotlight on Xur has also recently confirmed that the merchant will begin selling Forsaken exotics now and again once the seasonal update arrives....

Entitled The Art of Destiny 2, the book is set to launch on October 3, a few weeks after Destiny 2 ships out. The Art of Destiny 2 is the “definitive collection for the game’s stunning art and design,” the book’s official description states. Fans can feast their eyes upon Destiny 2 concept art, character sketches, immersive landscape paintings, and more, all while gaining insight into the game design process from the rough start to the final finish....

Details on what Smith will be discussing aren’t clear as of yet, as his speech could go in a variety of different directions. However, considering he’s been the eyes and ears behind Destiny 2, one of this year’s biggest games, his talk will pull in a ton of attention regardless of its focus. The Destiny 2 Menagerie bug in question is related to the mode’s final chest, which is intended to be looted once at the end of a successful run. However, fans learned that if they exited the area where the Destiny 2 Menagerie chest is located, and then they reentered said area, they could loot the chest again and again until they were kicked back into orbit. This Destiny 2 Menagerie glitch allowed players to loot the final chest many times per run, expediting the loot grind associated with the mode considerably....

Because Destiny 2 is a looter shooter game, and due to how some items have specific sources to farm, over the years players found several great spots or methods to obtain what they want. There are some materials that might be harder to come by in large quantities, however, and those are the ones used for Masterworking weapons and armor pieces - Legendary Shards, Enhancement Cores, Enhancement Prisms, and Ascendant Shards....

At present, it’s unclear what exactly this Destiny 2 task might be, but we know that it asks players to donate Polarized Fractaline to the Empyrean Foundation.
