The crux of the issue is how the Empyrean Foundation rewards Destiny 2 players with free Polarized Fractaline. With each reset, players are given an allowance of Polarized Fractaline based on their Obelisks’ resonance ranks. These ranks can be increased by players investing Polarized Fractaline into the individual Obelisks. In other words, the more that players invest, the more they earn each reset. Also key, however, is that the earlier players invest, the more it will pay off in the long run....

For those out of the loop, Bungie had announced that Destiny 2: Beyond Light will be delayed by seven weeks, pushing the release from September 22 to November 10. This was a conscious decision on its part to deliver the best possible experience on launch rather than patching in features and fixes post-launch. Thus, the expansion’s content offering remains the same. While Xur’s employers, The Nine, have never really been outlined or revealed, these new quests offer more backstory and insight into the mysterious group. Each week in Destiny 2, players who pick up the latest Invitations of the Nine quest will be tasked with completing multiple objectives, typically fighting a certain group of enemies and then finishing a particular strike. In exchange, players get new lore as well as some loot for their trouble....

While the first two livestreams will focus on the new content coming to Destiny 2, the last will highlight the new gear that players can collect. Presumably, some of the new gear reveals will include new exotic weapons and armor, which Xur could sell following the DLC’s launch in December. But for now it’s a lot of familiar items. This week, Destiny 2 players can find Xur on Nessus in the Watcher’s Grave region....

After the reappearance of the heavy machine gun, Thunderlord, big things are on the way for Destiny 2 exotic gear as Bungie also announced that The Black Armory update is scheduled to arrive on December 4. If rumors are true, a new influx of gear is scheduled to arrive potentially including some classic favorites like The Last Word and Icebreaker. Perhaps at this point, Bungie will reprogram Xur to start selling some more Year 2 exotics every now and again as well....

In just five days, Destiny 2 will see the release of its 30th Anniversary Pack, a DLC full of new content that is also accompanied by a rather big sandbox patch, which is set to shake the very foundations of the game. In fact, there will be a great division between each of Destiny 2’s abilities and Supers, providing them with differentiated cooldowns and increases or reductions in power to bring them in line with Bungie’s vision of the game....

Lunafaction Boots is a piece of exotic warlock leg armor introduced with the first pool of exotic armor introduced in year one of Destiny 2. The original exotic perk allowed guardians’ weapons to reload automatically when standing in an active warlock rift, making the armor piece a must-have for raids and other endgame PvE activities. Bungie reworked the exotic following the release of Shadowkeep in 2019, now boosting reload speed when guardians stood in an active warlock rift or the warlock well of radiance super....

Destiny 2 fans can look forward to the following exotics getting a change next month: Hunter: Lucky Raspberry The buffs to this exotic chest piece are giving players a little more control over the unique features of this exotic, and it could potentially make this great in PvE. The power fantasy behind Lucky Raspberry is having endless Arcbolt Grenades. Currently, the exotic functions by granting a chance at recharging Arcbolt when it does damage plus buffing its chaining abilities....

Seven hours before midnight, TheMaestroNoob posted two images of a humanized version of The Last Word, an exotic hand cannon produced by the in-game company Tex Mechanica that was added to Destiny 2 in December 2018’s Black Armory DLC expansion. One shows her in a black-and-gold outfit evocative of the base weapon’s design, while the other is a blushing “bride version” with a silver and white “Ornamented and fully Masterworked” design — including a golden veil....

Astral Alignment is a seasonal event tied to the current Destiny 2 Season of the Lost. It requires six players and a decent time investment in order to complete. While Astral Alignment has had several issues since launch, the issue in question has to do with the newly introduced Legendary difficulty. Namely, there’s no matchmaking support for Legendary Astral Alignment, forcing players to try and form groups with friends or via third-party group finder websites....

When Destiny 2: Forsaken first launched, it required the base game plus the Curse of Osiris and Warmind expansions to play. For those who were getting into Destiny 2 for the first time, that meant getting the Legendary Edition, a bundling of the base game, both Year 1 expansions, and Forsaken for $60. As of October 16, everything but the base game is getting included in Forsaken’s $40 price tag....

Bungie’s weekly roundup also contains a developer insight video about the upcoming arrival of Trials. The Destiny 2 team has already needed to reverse a few decisions over game mechanics in Trials of Osiris following outraged players’ demands that artifact power levels be disabled in the trials themselves. One of the major hurdles in the Impossible Task quest is a step involving Saint-14’s Ghost.
