Fans seem to still be a bit upset over the fact that Bungie ultimately decided against traditional Crucible, Strikes, and Gambit ritual gear for this season. It likeolt didn’t help that Bungie suggested the reason for the change was due to the time spent on the Trials gear and weapons, something that many feel are underwhelming anyway. With limited resources to go around, this trade-off process is likely going to be apart of the experience going forward....

This made Season of the Lost lengthy compared to most past Seasons, with the exception of Season of Arrivals. In order to retain players throughout the remainder of Season 15, Bungie is releasing the 30th Anniversary Pack on December 7, which includes a new Dungeon, plenty of cosmetics, and an all-new activity for fireteams of up to six players. The 30th Anniversary Pack is also coming with a bunch of changes to the current sandbox, including a series of adjustments to make Stasis more balanced in PvE and PvP....

According to a recent post from Bungie Community Manager Chris “Cozmo” Shannon, Destiny 2’s Crimson Days for this year were originally slated for February 5, but the studio has decided to shift the time frame a bit to have them run from February 12 through February 19. Cozmo also stated that those who missed out on the 2018’s Crimson Days will be able to get those exclusive rewards tethered to the event, as the upcoming event is “very similar to last year”....

In the 2.2.2 patch are four fixes. First, an issue that prevented players from completing Xur’s “The Tower” Invitation of the Nine quest has been solved. Next, the “Verdant Light: Competitive” Triumph is having its requirement of 200 Orbs of Light shrunk to just 20, and reactively awarding the Triumph to players. As well, the “Party Harder” triumph will unlock for any who just needed the 20 orbs to complete all of the Revelry Event triumphs....

The information has since been removed from the store listing, but the Internet was quick to catalog it for posterity. One Reddit user named xYaW paid particular attention to an informational blurb on the page specifying that to play Destiny 2, “105 GB hard drive storage space” will be “required as of September 22, 2020,” and saved an image to the r/raidsecrets subreddit dedicated to secrets, glitches, and more in Destiny....

At 10:00am PT, Bungie will open up The Farm to all players as part of the current Destiny 2 beta. Bungie says that The Farm won’t have any of the vendors that typically inhabit the area, likely making it a bit lifeless, but at the very least it’ll allow Guardians to get the lay of the land. Hopefully Bungie at least leaves the soccer field enabled so Guardians can have a bit of sport during the brief window of availability....

On social media, fans have noted that Lord Saladin makes no reference to the Rise of Iron DLC expansion released for the first game. In that DLC, players fought back against the Fallen House of Devils who wanted to use the SIVA nanotechnology to become much stronger. The DLC sees the Guardians become a new generation of Iron Lords - but it doesn’t appear that Destiny 2’s Iron Banner references this and fans say it seems as though Saladin has never met them....

But besides some rumors about Destiny 2, fans have had very little to go on. Release dates can shift and with a rumor about the sequel being rebooted, there has been no telling how Destiny 2’s development has been going. According to the game’s publisher, Activision, the sequel to Bungie’s sci-fi shared world shooter is still on track to launch next year. During an Activision Blizzard financial conference call, Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg says Destiny 2 is still expected to hit its previously announced 2017 release date, and will continue to expand its player base, as well as give veterans reasons to return:...

While Beyond Light had a new subclass in The Witch Queen along with a weapon crafting system, Lightfall can be expected to make major gameplay changes and additions. There will also be a Raid to be excited about. Not much is known about the endgame activity for Year 6, as Bungie likes to keep things secretive for day 1 WF (world’s first) races. However, in their recent TWAB (This Week at Bungie), the company shared the release date and time of the unnamed Raid from Lightfall....

Bungie has acknowledged that there are issues and the developers are working on a fix (or fixes). Destiny 2 and Bungie community manager Cozmo says that the studio has its “top people” on the task of making sure everything gets back on track. The crux of the issue is Destiny 2: Shadowkeep’s soft caps for its Power levels. The first soft cap is at Power level 900, after which players can earn upgrades through a variety of specific daily and weekly activities. Dedicated Destiny 2 players can climb from 900 to 950, the second “soft” cap, with relative ease. However, once reaching 950 the Power grind becomes excruciating to a degree where it feels difficult to believe it’s an intentional design choice from Bungie....

Early this morning, Destiny 2 player 3jlowes took to Twitter with something special to share, revealing that they have now donated an unbelievable 1,000,000 Polarized Fractaline to the Empyrean Foundation event. Certainly, it seems safe to say that this is not a milestone that many other Guardians will reach before the final stage is completed, and the community has turned up to show their gratitude to 3jlowes for all of the work that he has put in....

Reddit user u/JpDeathBlade made a post regarding these upcoming Destiny 2 Twitch benefits, explaining how an item that will be sold in the store tomorrow will also be this month’s Twitch Prime reward. An ornament for Tractor Cannon, Mechanist’s Trove, will be on sale for Silver as well as being granted from Amanda Holiday for Twitch Prime subscribers. This loophole will save players 1250 Bright Dust, a currency that is hard to come by in the current game’s economy....

Following a brief discussion with developers from both Bungie and Vicarious Visions, Bungie community manager Deej debuted the Destiny 2 Warmind cinematic prologue trailer. The trailer serves as an introduction to Ana Bray and sees her attempting to infiltrate a facility on Mars built by her family’s company, Clovis Bray, during the Golden Age. As Bray explains the facility is the birthplace of the most powerful weapon in the solar system, Rasputin himself....

Bungie also relayed more information on the upcoming Grandmaster Nightfalls. As expected, the studio seems to be positioning this as one of the most challenging activities in the game placing an emphasis on communication, build crafting, and teamwork. Taking inspiration from past raid activities like Crown of Sorrows, Grandmaster Nightfalls introduce new and familiar modifiers like extinguish, as well as bringing back limited revives to add to the challenge....

In addition to the mystery of Season 11, which remains slated to kick off at reset next week, fans have continued to get teasers regarding the Fall expansion. Already two short trailers have shown The Drifter and Eris Morn heading to a snow swept landscape that many fans are believing to be the heavily rumored location of Europa. Next week will reveal more as a new livestream set for June 9 looks to finally provide answers to where the franchise is going next....

Bungie also revealed that the incredibly popular Hunter exotic armor Star-Eater Scales will be disabled for the first 24 hours to make things a bit more fair for participants. Introduced this season, the exotic armor allows Hunters to charge their super faster when picking up Orbs of Power, and eventually overcharge the super if the meter is full dealing bonus damage. However, Bungie appears to have found an issue with them that gives some abilities more damage than intended....

Michael “Delta” Ault uploaded a short clip to Twitter Monday of a Jotunn he animated that makes “flaming hot toast” emblazoned with the Destiny logo. The self-proclaimed self taught 3D designer and amateur animator has worked on a host of Destiny-related content in the past particularly in relation to the series’ weapons. Earlier today he advertised a recreated and usable Jotunn that fans can download from the Steam Workshop for use in Garry’s Mod....

One set of items are actually directly related to the popular title and seal mechanic in Destiny 2. Originally introduced inside of the Forsaken campaign two years ago, seals introduce a number of optional objectives that the player can earn related to a specific activity. They’ve become quite popular with the player base as once all objectives are met, the player unlocks a title that they can equip and show off to other players....

Rite of Dawning Quest - Step 1 The first step requires Destiny 2 players to pick up the quest from Eva Levante’s menu in The Tower, which can only be done during The Dawning. The second task is equally easy, as players will have to speak to Zavala in The Tower, who will give them a new assignment.
