Good news is also on the way for fans of Trials of Osiris. After consecutive weekends of disabling the high level PvP activity, Bungie appears to have the situation fixed and plans to release the mode again later today and throughout this weekend. One way the studio has solved the win-trade exploit is to have temporarily disabled the Fireteam Rejoin feature, though the studio does intend to enable it again at a later date once additional fixes can be made....

These screenshots clearly show the bottom perk on armor can increase the recharge of abilities in the game. The images below show faster recharge for supers, grenades, and class abilities, but it’s probably safe to assume that a similar perk exists for melee attacks as well. This is good news for those who feel like the cooldowns on abilities are too slow–a common complaint and point of contention among fans currently playing the Destiny 2 beta....

This means that grenades, melee attacks, and class abilities will all be revised in a way that makes them more unique in order to allow players to build around that. Alongside new loot and gameplay though, one Destiny 2 player has found a new sport that can be played through the dungeon. Using more than a couple of exploits, and glitching their way to a point in the map where they can spawn their trusty Sparrow, a Destiny 2 YouTuber known as “Cheese Forever” shows off how they can use their Sparrow on water. The trick has a similar impressive feel to it as another video which saw a Destiny streamer complete a flawless Vault of Glass run with their Sparrow....

There’s a little over a month until the end of Season of Dawn, meaning that Destiny 2 is beginning to close in on the half-way point of its third year of content. To date, Bungie has attempted almost every format of DLC under the sun, from annual expansions like Forsaken to smaller releases like Curse of Osiris, and multiple attempts at the Fortnite-inspired seasonal model. With the lack of compelling endgame activities, the latest seasonal model is beginning to suffer from too many “had to be there moments” like the Corridors of Time secret mission, and in turn, there’s an unintentionally created and ongoing fear of missing out that’s leading to an increasing problem of player burn out....

Ghost Projections and Weapon Skins The two new items entering the Eververse pool for Destiny 2 Year 2 are ghost projections and legendary weapon skins. Ghost projections are account-wide symbols that will appear for the player any time they pull out their ghost for navigation. Above is an example of a ghost projection featuring the Jade Rabbit symbol. Legendary weapon skins are not new for Destiny 2 but they are going to be new for Eververse....

The studio took a deep dive into the new season during its latest showcase stream, confirming leaks about the return of Eramis to Destiny 2 and the overall pirate motif. Guardians will join Mithrax, Drifter, Eido, and Spider as they form a new crew to combat the forces Eramis is gathering after escaping the Stasis shell she has been frozen in since the end of Beyond Light’s campaign. She will join forces with Eliksni pirate lords in an effort to rally her efforts against the Traveler and the Last City, though it is not known what role the Witness may have played in this....

Speaking in a recent interview, Destiny 2 director Luke Smith confirmed that for some activities in the game, players will be “loadout locked” and they will be unable to change. Smith said that for the difficulty level at the “pinnacle” of the game, Bungie has tried to make it a “much tougher game.” The developer also compared Destiny 2’s loadouts to being like a “golf bag,” as players will look at their items before an activity and ask, “Oh, what should we bring to this?...

Destiny 2’s PC beta features virtually the same content as that included in the July console beta, with one small addition. A Control-mode Crucible map set on Javelin-4 has been added to the beta, in addition to the previously available Countdown Crucible mode set on the Midtown map. Beyond that it’s the same stuff: the Homecoming story mission that takes place at the start of Destiny 2, and the Inverted Spire Strike investigating the Cabal’s presence on Nessus....

But that mechanic has been disclosed and discussed openly between developer Bungie and players. This new theory of a hidden catch-up mechanic has popped up among fans and claims that between rounds of Gambit, losing teams are given a damage buff against enemies. But after testing out this theory, Mercules904 (who is well-known for his breakdowns of stats in Destiny 2) took to the Destiny subreddit to post his findings....

One player took to Reddit after finding an exploit in the Europa strike, The Glassway, including video evidence of the glitch that some commenters have confirmed to work. This will likely become highly valuable to players as Destiny 2 begins including the new strike into the Grandmaster Nightfall rotation. Destiny 2 players have discovered a hidden area underneath the new European Aerial Zone activity that was added to the game as part of the current Solstice of Heroes event. While this secret area is mostly empty, its existence is leading many to believe that there may be a secret quest that will involve this location. It is possible to glitch into this hidden area that is normally blocked off by implementing the commonly-used Destiny 2 Sparrow trick....

One of the most successful seasons of Destiny 2 is Black Armory, and the reason why this is the case is that it brought many new weapons, weapon mods, and perk combinations that players enjoyed a lot. What makes Dares of Eternity so special is that there is a lot of enemy density for players to enjoy the activity with their favorite weapons, and it is also extremely rewarding thanks to the final drops, the Treasure Keys, and the Strange Coins....
