Striker Titan In the Code of the Juggernaut branch of the Striker, the idea is for melee damage and gunplay to feed synergistically off each other, with the Frontal Assault perk giving an instant reload and increased stability upon a melee hit and the Knockout perk activating once players have dealt considerable damage to an enemy, giving increased melee range and damage. Both of these core perks are getting a jolt with increased damage and duration....

The subject was first broached to Blackburn as part of a recent interview with PC Gamer, going into further detail about Bungie’s plans for Lightfall. On the subject of sunsetting, Blackburn reiterated the decision to no longer sunset expansions is to let old and new players, experience the full story involving The Witness and its Black Fleet from when guardians discovered the Lunar Pyramid in Shadowkeep. When it came to seasonal content, though, Blackburn said Bungie will continue to let seasonal content “expire” with every new expansion....

To help players burn through bounties, collecting laurels, or any remaining Crucible medals, Bungie unleashed the Mayhem Crucible mode this past week. As Destiny 2 players know, Mayhem significantly reduces cooldowns for class abilities, grenades, and supers. Naturally, this mode introduces plenty of chaos and fun as super abilities a triggered at a constant clip, making it a great time to also pick up fallen laurels during the Guardian Games event....

To start the quest, players have to pick it up from Osiris at the Sundial on Mercury. Starting the quest sends players back into the Corridors of Time, where they saved Saint-14 earlier in the season. Players may have noticed while playing those missions earlier in the season that there are symbols throughout the many corridors of the environment. Following the reveal and the eventual release of the expansion, players discovered an in-game quest paying additional tribute to the fan favorite character. The mini-quest wasn’t very involved and ultimately led players to the Ramen Stand in the Tower, one of Cayde’s favorite spots. While there, an expired coupon for Spicy Ramen could be obtained, later confirmed by Destiny 2 community manager DMG04 to be nothing more than a special tribute....

Starting today, players can visit Xur to start the Invitations of the Nine questline. Each week, for up to nine weeks, players can pick up a quest item in Xur’s inventory. Every week the item is picked up and then completed, players will be able to not only learn more about the mysterious Nine, but also unlock new lore pages revealing their backstory. The Nine has been a group mentioned numerous times throughout the history of the franchise, though this will be the first time players will get to understand them a bit better....

For Destiny 2 players moving from the free-to-play New Light to Shadowkeep, it isn’t just a matter of buying Shadowkeep. That grants access to the newest expansion, but it skips the story content of Year 2. To gain access to that, Destiny 2 New Light players also have to purchase Forsaken, which ultimately results in players spending money for some Forsaken content already made free as part of New Light....

It is worth noting that Bungie has not officially unveiled most of the content that players have datamined, so spoilers will follow. Still, knowing what is coming later in Season of Arrivals could help players prepare. However, a new Mod for Season 14 called Energy Accelerant has already been disabled pending a fix. Energy Accelerant is supposed to increase the explosion damage of Dragonfly, Chain Reaction, and Firefly. As many Guardians are well aware, Telesto has a habit of breaking Destiny 2 in various ways....

The latest Destiny 2 exploit will get players all of the necessary tributes that they need for Bad Juju (18 Tributes) or even the Bad Juju Catalyst (45 Tributes). Or you could even collect 50 total Tributes and unlock the exotic emote, all without doing any activity. First reported on the Destiny 2 subreddit, this exploit involves a couple of different steps but essentially the game will be “counting” the initial banner Tribute multiple times....

However, it appears that some of those voice lines may be bugged. Fans on the Destiny subreddit noticed it (and so has this Game Rant writer). Saladin is much more talkative in Destiny 2, and he will often comment on the performance of the player. Like normal Crucible, there are even lines specific to each class in the game. For example, when playing as a Warlock, Saladin often makes comments about Ikora Rey, the Warlock Vanguard, and other specific dialogue lines in relation to being a Warlock....

Although the development team at Bungie hasn’t yet decided whether it will change or remove the Iron Rain rocket launcher sub-quest for next season, it has added a temporary workaround to the game that will auto-complete that specific portion of the Light the Fires quest for any player who hasn’t finished it yet. Brookes confirmed the relationship in a lengthy Twitter thread on Saturday in which he discussed his own experiences understanding his sexual orientation while growing up. He talked about what it was like not understanding the concept of bisexuality due to a lack of LGBTQI+ education and representation. Age of Triumph was an event held in the final months of the original Destiny to celebrate guardians’ accomplishments over the game’s three-year lifespan and lead into Destiny 2’s launch. The event saw Bungie freshen up the game’s four raids by bringing them up to player levels, rework weapon drops, and freshen armor sets with new cosmetic options available. It also saw a swath of changes made to the game’s other PvP and PvE options, from Lord Shaxx carrying two weekly Crucible bounties instead of one and the Daybreak modifier for Nightfalls to reduce player ability cooldowns....

As one might expect, the weapon sunsetting concept has been met with a lot of feedback from the community. Some of it is positive and some of it is negative, but there is a general concern from both camps. While players knew Bungie would inevitably weaken the popular Exotic, many don’t agree with the nerf the studio eventually settled upon as it doubled the requirements necessary to use the boots. Now, to gain the benefits of the Star-Eater Scales, players have to stack eight Super orbs instead of the originally intended four, seemingly gutting the Exotic’s usefulness in PvE rather than balancing them. In response, players have taken to social media to request Bungie adjust the nerf....

Reddit user Carolinagamer99 and two other Destiny 2 players took to The Arms Dealer Nightfall strike to perform this hilarious feat. For this to work, the team used the Nightfall challenge card to add the Solar Burn and Grenadier modifiers to grant additional solar and grenade damage. When combined with the Grenade Reveler’s Tonic and the Hunter exotic Young Ahamkara’s Spine, the team was able to load up a sparrow covered in tripmine grenades and one-shot Bracus Zahn....

On paper, Xenophage’s perks sound like they could make it a top tier DPS option. Although the Destiny 2 weapon can hold a limited amount of bullets compared to normal heavy machine guns, each of those bullets is supposed to pack a wallop. Thanks to the gun’s Pyrotoxin Rounds, the Xenophage fires high-powered explosive ammunition. Is Xenophage Good in PvE? However, because the Xenophage exotic heavy machine gun fires explosive rounds it does not deal precision damage on PvE targets....

However, the event itself hasn’t been as smooth as it has in the past. Players have taken to the many Destiny 2 social channels like Reddit to highlight issues that have cropped up, with a big one being the actual armor glow from the new Solstice armor. While screenshots and promo materials from Bungie show a vibrant and bright color, the in-game model appears more dull and less exciting. Thankfully, Bungie has already fixed a number of nagging issues players have brought up, and confirmed that the progression for second and third characters is intentionally faster once players achieve the Magnificent armor set....

Those waiting for the appearance of Forsaken exotics may be in for a long one if Bungie’s Annual Pass roadmap for 2019 is anything to go by. It doesn’t appear that Xur will be receiving any significant changes until next season at the earliest. Not only is there mysterious content related to Xur and new bounties listed under the Season of the Drifter, but many players believe this is the point when Bungie will start to finally integrate Forsaken exotics into his weekly inventory....
