Surprisingly, almost a day later during the weekly reset, a mysterious new quest appeared out of the blue with Osiris. The quest sent players back into a fully opened Corridors of Time which was fully stocked with weird symbols and puzzles to overcome. What may be more surprising is that this challenge was not overcome by the community in a day and continues to stump fans to this day. Naturally, many are hoping that the ultimate reward from this much effort will be worth the trouble....

The subclasses didn’t see much of an overhaul when it comes to the perks in their skill trees as compared to the retooling Destiny 2 did with the Voidwalker, Striker, and Gunslinger subclasses. Many of their perks are exactly the same, only reorganized into the skill path system. Nightstalker Hunter Way of the Trapper Snare Bomb: Throw a smoke bomb trap from a distance with this Melee Ability. The smoke bomb sticks to surfaces and detonates when enemies are near, slowing and disorienting them....

Destiny 2’s developer, Bungie, first announced Clarion Call events during its TwitchCon panel last month, where the Seasons of Destiny 2 were discussed. Clarion Call events are tied to Destiny 2’s seasons and designed to give players increased XP gains by meeting specific conditions. This first event calls for players to go into any activity while in a fireteam with at least one other clan member, but that won’t always be a requirement....

And before conspiracy theorists get too far with the news of this departure and start painting a picture of a Bungie in crisis, Blackburn answered a fan on Twitter saying that his time at Bungie has been “amazing” and that the departure from Bungie is because he received “an exciting opportunity […] in Santa Monica.” While he did not announce where exactly he’ll end up, there are plenty of notable developers in the Santa Monica area including Sony Santa Monica, Riot Games, Treyarch, and Naughty Dog, just to name a few....

In an interview with Bungie’s World Lead, Steve Cotton, Forbes reported that the developer was very clear about whether or not the cards would be making a return in Destiny 2. It seems that Destiny 2 will be far more story-based than the 2014 title, which is sure to be a huge step in the right direction, especially when it comes to catching new players up with the in-game universe....

Masterwork armor is now available, meaning any Legendary armor piece has the chance to drop as a Masterwork version. Like Masterwork weapons, Masterwork armor gives a unique perk benefit, which is extra damage resistance while having a Super activated. Each piece of Masterwork armor grants 3% damage resistance and is stackable up to 15% overall damage resistance. If a player wants to turn an existing piece of Legendary armor into a Masterwork, they can do so in exchange for 5 Masterwork cores and 20 Legendary Shards....

Posting on the Destiny 2 subreddit, user ACleverLettuce linked a video which clearly shows the results of opening three chests back-to-back. As shown below, the Guardian discovered that many of the game’s chests are in fact missing a solid base, and it’s possible for the engram drops to simply fall out of the world as soon as they spawn. Being close enough to the Stash when opening it should cause the player to grab the item before it drops, but being a little too far away will often result in losing the reward forever....

The Witch Queen is the latest expansion for Destiny 2, which sees players venture into the Throne World of Savathun, the Hive god of cunning, to learn how she gained the Light, battle her Light-powered Hive guardians, and what must be done to take it back. For many players, the most exciting aspect of today’s update is the brand new exotic quest, which leads players to the new Linear Fusion rifle known as Ruinous Effigy. Alongside the new story content and activities like Nightmare Containment, the other big addition was the overhaul to solar subclasses. Taking advantage of aspects and fragments like Stasis and Void, the system gives players greater control over their build along with more grenade options than ever before. While the system is still fresh and new, it seems players are mixed on the Solar 3.0 changes as some fan favorite abilities were nerfed, changed, or outright removed....

While Xur continues to sell year one exotics for the time being, that trend could be changing towards the end of the year as The Black Armor approaches. The current rumor is that a new gear rarity tier called Black is going to be added as well as some popular Destiny 1 exotics like Icebreaker, Thunderlord, and The Last Word. Perhaps with an infusion of new gear and enough time given, some Destiny 2 year 2 exotics could enter Xur’s weekly inventory....

However, Hunters will have to overcome the added challenge without one of the more popular exotic armor pieces currently in the game. Last week, Bungie disabled the Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk exotic chest piece due to a new glitch which could buff Titan allies to the point where they become unkillable. When its unique ability is triggered, Titans gained improved damage mitigation as well as increased ability regeneration. If a Titan was wearing the Loreley Splendor or using Juggernaut, the ability regeneration would be permanent, allowing for sunspots to be spawned every few seconds....

This process might be quite different from what most gamers use in other video games. With Clan Progression now active in Destiny 2, Guardians will be able to join up in groups to begin gaining experience and working toward unlocking rewards within the sequel.
