Destiny 2 is finally getting transmogrification, more frequently referred to as transmog, one of the most-requested features since the early weeks of the first Destiny. Transmog, for those unfamiliar, allows players to change the look of their gear, keeping Guardians fresh even when in less than ideal equipment. Last week, Bungie announced that they would be revealing the “Next Chapter of Destiny 2” during a livestream that’s set to take place at 10 AM PT on Thursday, June 6th. Community Manager DeeJ teased that the live stream would be looking deeper into the future of Destiny 2, confirming that the game would continue to be supported with new content and updates. According to an image found in Destiny 2’s game files by dataminer Ginsor, Bungie has created a logo for cross-saves and released it into the game with the Season of Opulence update....

Destiny 2’s PC players will now be able to play alongside console players and vice versa. That being said, Bungie will still separate Destiny 2’s PC and console players to a degree for PVP since some may argue that players with a mouse and keyboard might have an advantage. But it will be a one-way system, where console players can exclude PC players from their games, but PC players won’t be able to keep console players from joining their pool....

Destiny 2 brought over many of the exotic weapons from the original Destiny, but one of the most popular ones, the Gjallarhorn rocket launcher, is still surprisingly absent from the game. This weapon’s destructive capability was unmatched, as each rocket that it fired split off into several more explosives that dealt massive damage to anything in the vicinity. Bosses were particularly susceptible to this thanks to their large size....

Excitingly, it seemed as though this seminal partnership might be resurrected after several new reports claimed Microsoft was looking to bring Bungie into its first-party lineup. Since the massive developer blog post on Thursday, Destiny 2 live team director Christopher Barrett has been discussing the game and what features or changes he would like to see added to the game. Among them was an interest in bringing back loot that is tied to specific bosses or activities, similar to the strike-specific loot from Destiny 1. Although Bungie had been in a type of holding pattern over the holiday, Barrett has now been freely addressing player questions, comments, and concerns with vows to improve the rewards, systems, and features in Destiny 2....

Unlike other multi-platform online games, player profiles in Destiny 2 have, since launch, remained tied to the platform on which players began playing. In other words, if a player began playing the game on console when it released, but hoped to switch to PC later on, they would have to start over. All of that is about to change. The news came during a panel about Destiny 2’s story at San Diego Comic-Con, where Bungie’s Senior Narrative Lead, Jason Harris, said that story was a big focus for the development team this time around with Destiny 2, and that the game had 52 cutscenes. He quickly clarified saying he couldn’t remember exactly how many cutscenes there were, but it was more than fifty. This all seems to support what Bungie has been saying about Destiny 2, that the game has been infused with story on multiple levels....

The image comes from a gif uploaded by the official Destiny Twitter account, teasing the Destiny 2 Gameplay Premiere on Thursday, May 18th. It took almost no time for fans to notice that the Warlock in the image appears to be holding a different weapon than in the first round of marketing images, which showed a male version of the subclass wielding a shotgun. While at a first quick glance, the gun has a similar profile to a shotgun, under closer inspection it appears to be much smaller....

Players looking for a totally new take on the familiar three classes of Destiny can opt to create a Warlock Dawnblade, a Hunter Arcstrider, or a Titan Sentinel. Each classes was given a bit of screentime during the Destiny 2 gameplay reveal, with the Dawnblade calling down what appeared to be some sort of light based fire sword, enabling the player to not only strike down enemies, but launch energy wave projectiles as well....

A new leak originating on 4Chan made its way over to Sweatcicle, someone who’s a well respected member of the Destiny 2 community. According to the information, most of the studio has since transitioned to the big fall expansion for Destiny 2 known as Collapse. Any players that are active in the Destiny 2 community and did a fair share of Faction Rally loot grinding are well aware of the ideal farming method. Load into Titan, head to The Rig section of the destination, run through the Lost Sector shooting all of the supply drops, and simultaneously destroy the last one and die. If done correctly, the player should reload right outside the Lost Sector and the supply drops will have respawned....

As it continues to add more content, Destiny 2 faces the same initial bugs as any other live service game does. However, one player’s latest gripe is not with the gameplay, but with some of his fellow raiders.
