Twitter user Gitv_Kyle recently discovered that although the in-game vendors were supposedly decrypting engram items that matched players’ maximum power level, he was receiving slightly underpowered gear. He reported the issue to a Destiny 2 Twitter account (@VendorEngrams) that completes routine evaluations of the vendors RELATED: Destiny 2: The Best Exotic Armor to Take into Trials of Osiris Eventually, the Twitter user discovered that the reason his engram items didn’t match his abilities was because of his gear....

The winning team was from Clan Ascend and was comprised of players Antivist, Cyber, ExBlack, Monks, Narhzul, and Pash. The raid was completed 6 hours and 13 minutes after it launched at 10 a.m. PDT today. Destiny 2 players are always on the lookout for ways to glitch through the game’s challenges or to simply shorten the grind. Fans were pleasantly surprised to learn that Bungie implemented a progression multiplier for Solstice of Heroes, but that hasn’t stopped fans from continuing to look for ways to efficiently complete tasks. RELATED: Destiny 2: Here’s a Great New Place to Farm Enemy Kills The objective in question asks players to complete 5 of Destiny 2’s Adventures, and while this task shouldn’t be as big of a pain to complete, some players have reported issues with progress multipliers and Adventure availability, so the trick is still handy....

New Light launched in October 2019, changing the beginning of Destiny 2 from the Red War campaign by reintroducing the first story mission from the original Destiny. When new players finished this mission, finding a ship, they took off for the Tower to begin the Red War and its subsequent story expansions. With Beyond Light, those story missions were vaulted, with New Light taking new players further into the Cosmodrome for a more fleshed-out origin story for the game....

After a small scale test earlier this season, Crossplay is bringing the Bungie Name system online which will not only make each player’s name unique using a specialized code, but it will allow friends to be looked up or added to a fireteam across all Destiny 2 platforms. For those that want a little more power, Bungie is adding in privacy and security settings for blocking invites as well....

According to Luke Smith, game director on Destiny 2, fans should expect a comparable release timeframe as they saw with the raids in Destiny 1. In case there was any doubt, Smith confirmed that the first raid will be included in the base game and will be available during the launch period. While Bungie isn’t quite ready to announce an firm date yet (but promises to do so later later this summer), Smith said that the raid will have a very similar release date as with King’s Fall and Wrath of the Machine....

Reddit user Disciple4JC is the first to have called attention to the new Exotic quest. Their post on Reddit, titled “Divine Fragmentation Quest FOUND!!!” has been cataloging progress as Destiny 2 players progress through the quest step by step. So far players have progressed through 4 different quest steps, only to bottlenecked by the final step, which requires players to go into the Garden of Salvation Raid. However, players are currently doing the raid and quest right now....

As many know, the Forsaken DLC revolved around avenging Cayde-6’s death at the hands of Prince Uldren Sov, who himself was being manipulated. But it appears that at some point after the events of Forsaken and potentially during the Destiny 2 Black Armory DLC, Uldren is resurrected. While that would be surprising enough, the events of his resurrection are even more shocking. In fact, Uldren is revived by a Ghost known as Pulled Pork which had found where he was laid to rest in the Dreaming City....

Apparently, with the release of update 2.0, Destiny 2 players have noticed that Skill-Based Matchmaking has returned. Many will remember that the feature was accidentally turned off by a bug and since then Bungie has yet to say whether they planned to turn it back on. Given that, Destiny 2 players were concerned when they noticed that matchmaking was slower than normal and many of the matches were more competitive (or “sweaty”) than they had been in the past....

Die-hard fans are no doubt already familiar with some of the new content and additions already confirmed for the expansion, such as new armor, a new Stasis element, a dynamic weather system, and new story, with the first game’s Exo Stranger making a return as well. The Reddit post was originally shared by user Icybjerg and he gives away his idea for Gambit in the title. It’s “BUNGIE! If The enemy team summon a primeval and we are still getting motes THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO INVADE!” Suffice to say, they’re using tried and true Reddit strategies of yelling, exclamation points, and caps lock with great success. Nevertheless, the post has over 4,600 upvotes in the Destiny 2 subreddit, with many players offering a similar sentiment regarding Gambit needing improvements....

In Destiny 2, Bungie brings back shaders for weapons and armor. Shaders are entirely cosmetic modifications that allow players to customize their character further and make them look a bit more visually appealing. But while most welcomed the return of the feature, many are now raising hell about the way Bungie has included them in the new game. The main concern about the shaders is that in Destiny 2 these cosmetics are now single use....

Similar Power level numbers seen in demos, at tradeshows like E3, or in other development videos have been placeholders before, so this number may not be final. However, in the ViDoc that revealed Shadowkeep, a portion of the video featuring a playtest session at Bungie headquarters shows the number 900 Power level on screen. The Power level cap in Destiny 2’s current Season of Opulence is 750, so a 150 level jump seems to be a sizeable but very realistic next step considering the fact that Shadowkeep is meant to be the size of Destiny 1’s Rise of Iron expansion or a little bigger....

After the Xbox Series X gameplay reveal stream, Xbox posted a tweet showing fans just how many third-party teams are developing something for the new console. Just above EA and to the right of Bethesda, fans will have spotted Destiny 2 developer Bungie. Fans didn’t have long to wonder what the company is working on as the official Bungie Twitter account soon tweeted that “Destiny 2 will be on next-gen platforms!...

The developer took to Twitter to confirm that it’s putting the weekly PvP activity on hold for a few weeks, meaning that the first Trials for the newly-launched Season of the Hunt will no longer take place this weekend as originally scheduled. This will be disappointing for those looking forward to the next Trials’ addition of Adept weapons, but on the plus side, it won’t be much longer before it returns, as Bungie currently has it scheduled to take place during the weekend of November 27....

Players new to Destiny 2 right now will discover the Festival of the Lost, the annual Halloween event. This year players must collect candy as a literal resource that lasts throughout the Festival as well as pages of lore and new, seasonal goodies. But players who were around for last year’s festival will have a significant advantage, and for a surprising reason. As revealed during the Weekly Bungie Blog post, Destiny 2 will launch the Season of Opulence content and the Crown of Sorrow raid on the same day, only six hours apart. In Bungie’s mind, this will give all players an even playing field when they begin the raid’s first encounter, which has a recommended power level of 715. However, while that even playing field may seem that way at a glance, Bungie’s approach could come back to bite them, or at least color the title of World’s First Crown of Sorrow completion in a different light....

Champions were a new type of enemy introduced in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. They are a form of elite combatant and require special mods to be countered. Currently, players can face Barrier, Overload, and Unstoppable Champions in end-game activities and are encouraged to equip their respective mods on specified weapons. For instance, Anti-Barrier mods drain Barrier Champion shields very quickly. But while new Destiny 2 content and activities are always welcome, it is the change to the way those Crimson Days rewards are given out that has players the most excited. In stark contrast to The Dawning, Crimson Engrams will only be unlocked via gameplay not Eververse or microtransactions. Bungie had promised to tune reward engrams away from the Eververse store in its lengthy blog post a few weeks back, and this is now the first part of that change....
