A crafting system in Destiny 2 is something players have wanted for years, and while the news that it is going to be real soon is great, some fans met it with skepticism. This is not because players don’t think that the feature will be good for the game, but rather because new additions that change core aspects of Bungie’s shooter tend to come with issues. That’s what a Reddit user highlighted in their post, asking Bungie to balance the way weapon crafting will work based on past experience....

Speaking of Exotics, another form of preparation that players often choose to undergo is cleaning their vaults because of the limited amount of space and overwhelming amount of new loot that comes with an expansion the size of The Witch Queen. Unfortunately, several of Destiny 2’s Exotic items are not great across the board, either because of outdated perks that add nothing to the game or because of nerfs and other changes they underwent in the past....

How Will Solar Week Work? If Solar Week is to be like Arc Week then players can expect a couple of Solar-focused tweaks in Destiny 2. As the name implies, Solar Week should feature bounties centered around the solar element and solar singe active for every activity. For Arc Week, Mayhem was also active in the Crucible Playlist, so that is a possibility. One of the strangest of these new weapons is the Ruinous Effigy, an Exotic Trace Rifle. The Ruinous Effigy has a few unique features, including the ability to turn defeated enemies into Void Orbs. To unlock the weapon players will have to complete the Growth quest-line. There’s one part that’s particularly difficult, however, the requirement to make 25 Precision Multikills. In addition to the reveal event, Season of the Lost kicked off in full, acting more as a prequel to the Witch Queen expansion than most people likely assumed. The Awoken Queen Mara Sov has returned as well as the full reveal of just what Savathun has been doing these past few seasons. Naturally, fans have a wealth of new content and challenges to work through as well as new exotic items to uncover such as the Lorentz Driver, Radient Dance Machines, No Backup Plans, and more....

This week, Destiny 2 players can find Xur on Titan in the Rig section. He’s tucked inside a small room in the Eastern portion of the patrol area, so make sure to track him on the map to ensure you don’t miss him. Unfortunately, this week’s Xur inventory is anything but a gift for Destiny 2 players, unless they missed out on something during the campaign. He has the Lucky Pants boots for Hunters, the Doom Fang Pauldron gauntlets for Titans, and the Wings of Sacred Dawn chest piece for Warlocks....

With the Lightfall expansion launching next month, Bungie likely has more planned in the coming weeks as Destiny 2 appears to be heading towards another evolution. In fact, Bungie is also making a big change to focusing gear, reducing the legendary shard cost at all Crucible, Gambit, Trials of Osiris, and Iron Banner vendors. Part of the appeal is the ability to control the loot that’s earned at the end of the experience. Using the Chalice of Opulence and a certain combination of runes and upgrades, players can determine what type of gear they get as a reward. It’s a unique aspect to the game and one that appears to be very appealing for players. Although players can’t control what he brings each weekend, Xur is back again inside of Destiny 2 with a new set of exotic items for sale....

In a longer term view of the game, Bungie also revealed how it plans to change gear infusion and loot. Part of the infusion process included a deeper dive into weapon and armor sunsetting, a controversial topic that is likely going to divide most players. Next season will also see the introduction of special rewards that allow players to influence what kind of item they get from it in an effort to replace Weapon Bounties....

Outside of The Lie getting fixed, Bungie also provided a few more weekly details on the many changes it has coming. This week focused on the idea of word loot, weapons that can be acquired from next season’s new engram, and various tweaks to some weapon perks as well. Fan favorites like Outlaw, Rapid Hit, and Feeding Frenzy are all getting adjusted while some lesser used ones like PUlse Monitor and Hipfire Grip are getting slight buffs....

In addition to Ager’s Scepter, this weekend also brings back Trials of Osiris, following its very positive arrival after week one. Not only did the complete revamp of the PvP mode work out for Bungie by massive increasing the player base, but even more changes are on the way this weekend. These quality of life updates bring a flawless matchmaking pool for those players who have achieved 7 wins as well as help for players that have experienced a string of blowout losses....

The first step in adding a glow to a set of this new armor is to go Flawless in Destiny 2’s Trials of Osiris. This is done by reaching seven wins without a single recorded loss, a tall order indeed, and it gives Trials gear a special yellow glow. That said, this yellow glow is not permanent, and players must continue going Flawless to refresh the effect as it fades....

Popular Destiny 2 YouTuber CheeseForever is at it again with another newly found glitch that provides a damage boost to both darkness weapons, Malfeasance and the recently released Witherhoard. Inside of the Tribute Hall, Cheese highlights a way that players can buff the damage output of Malfeasance by using the Witherhoard. Since both weapons utilize blight damage, it seems Bungie may have possibly added a way the duo can work together....

Still, Hunter players who like to tackle Destiny 2’s content alone can also do so with other builds, of course, with the likes of Blade Barrage and melee damage Arcstrider being very viable options. Another good option comes from Graviton Forfeit, an Exotic helm that increases the duration of invisibility effects, as well as makes melee abilities recharge faster while invisible. Graviton Forfeit also boosts the reload speed of all weapons and increases the Hunter’s Recovery while invisible, making it a great alternative to Omnioculus....

Destiny 2 players will find the Iron Burden consumable at Lord Saladin for a cost of 5 Iron Banner tokens. The Iron Burden applies a debuff that will lower a player’s level by 100 Power in the playlist, forcing players to put “more focus on skill, strategy, and gunplay” to compete. Since Iron Banner has level advantages enabled for Destiny 2 Year 2, a 100 Power handicap will lower a player’s damage output and increase their vulnerability....

As most players have seen since the launch of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, the Eververse microtransaction store has seemingly been increasing in size and inventory. Part of this issue is that items which are clearly inspired by actual missions, events, or enemies are being placed in the store rather than offered as earnable loot or strike specific gear, something the game sorely lacks. In fact, Particle Deconstruction altered the meta in a way that made it hard to justify using any non-fusion rifle weapon archetype in at least one slot, with players even using one for both the Energy and Power slot at the same time. Gjallarhorn was not handled well in terms of power balance, but it was just introduced at a time when its power was not creeping over everything else, thus not making it the go-to weapon across all game modes....

The PC version of Destiny 2 will feature a variety of features that hardcore PC gamers should enjoy. These include a “detailed” PC settings screen, an adjustable field of view, text chat, 21:9 monitor support and text chat. Bungie and Activision also confirmed that the game will offer full mouse and keyboard support and that custom key mapping will also be available. Moreover, the PC version of the game will support a 4K resolution (3820x2160) as well as an uncapped framerate....

However, this doesn’t mean that Stasis abilities can’t still be used to make some amazing plays. While a lot of players of Destiny 2 may be looking towards the new and improved Void subclasses being brought along with the Void 3.0 update, one player’s clip shows that the Stasis subclasses can still pull off some impressive moves. As Stasis is related to cold and the cessation of movement, a player can effectively stop another in their tracks during PvP, setting up for easy kills....

Over the years, these quests have been toned down a bit, offering curated weapons with perks pulled from the existing pool of options, though the quests have been made much easier as a result. For Season of the Lost, the Ascendancy Rocket Launcher has been a hit with fans, though its ornaments are tied to specific challenges that are leaving many frustrated and burnt out....
